Hurd with 330 last night, he'll need 400 to pull off the upset over Mount Healthy.

Mt Healthy is a pretty athletic team, best way to beat them is to control the clock with the run game.

A win here and a few things go our way and we can host. Like Who would’ve thunk Wyoming would’ve lost last night. So not ruling out that we can host a next week but a win here would be great momentum

What could have been with shoulda wins over MT and West. A win over Mount Healthy and most likely host week 11. A loss and we drop even further.Jeaux Burreaux wrote: ↑Sat Oct 14, 2023 10:52 am A win here and a few things go our way and we can host. Like Who would’ve thunk Wyoming would’ve lost last night. There are a few other games that will affect our seeding with teams just ahead of us and lower than us.
Washington Court House on our heels at #11 plays MT week 10. If they win and we lose they jump us.
Roger Bacon at #12 nearly guaranteed win week 10.
Reading at #13 most likely wins week 10.
Urbana at #14 plays 9-0 D3 London so they will most likely lose week 10.
Above us at #9, McNicholas plays 9-0 D3 Badin - possibly lose for McNicholas.
#8 Eaton eeked out a 2 OT win last night over Waynesville and will play D5 3-6 Carlisle week 10. Most likely a win for Eaton.
#7 Alter plays D3 6-3 Chaminade Julienne week 10.
Alot to be determined week 10...

Speaking about Wyoming playoff wise for the tigers I will take them over Wyoming, look at their resume this year and you will be surprised 3 ish 1 score wins against very average-below average teams but with MT. Healthys athleticism I will take the owls but this could go Waverlys way.

Good solid game between 2 great athletic teams. It is going to be quite a road trip for Waverly though.

Good test for tigers before the playoffs, will face a similar team in week 11, win or loose

Playoff wise for the tigers I would like to see a home game, but with this tall task you cannot plan for one, for the playoffs Waverly would like to see unioto again, or even Wyoming. Usually you wouldn’t want to see Wyoming but if you look at their resume I don’t think they should have ever been near the top 3 in the rankings, I will take MT.Healthy due to Waverlys inconsistency

Re: Waverly @ Mouth Healthy
Well this is certainly a tall task for the Tigers, not sure how much everyone knows about Mt Healthy but they've got multiple guys with D1 offers and I believe 1 guy who has already committed to Indiana. QB is solid for them as he's mobile with a solid arm, he's a bit careless with the ball at times. They have a nice big OL so it's going to be tough to get pressure but we need to make him uncomfortable in the pocket. The key to beating them is going to be Waverly's ability to run the ball, the best defense in this game is a good offense and it probably wouldn't be a terrible thing for waverly to slow things down in this one and limit Mt. Healthy's touches. Mt. Healthy has arguably the best defensive secondary Waverly will face all year and it's not close including teams within their region. This will be a good warmup for the playoffs just want to see everyone come out play solid and come home healthy and get ready for week 11.

Re: Waverly @ Mouth Healthy
This game should have never happened. Waverly will lose worse than they did to Burg. Mt. Healthy should of beat Massie. Their level of competition is not the teams we see in SOC or SVC. They are extremely fast on both sides of the ball, and they have a 3-star qb who has fast receivers that we won't be able to stop. This is in no way saying anything bad about our kids, they are just simply out matched.
Hopefully Waverly plays their top game and keeps it respectable and doesn't get any players hurt.
We sure don't want any part of Wyoming either. They have had 3 skilled kids out hurt that will be back this week.
Hopefully this is live streamed so I can tune in.
Good luck to the Tigers Play hard is all we can ask of you.

Will be tough for Waverly to come home with a win… but possible. Waverly’s offense will need to trade punches with Mt healthy’s offense, not sure how many stops the defense will get for the Tigers… Mt healthys offense is quick and athletic.
If Waverly wants any chance at home playoff game they will need to find a way to win, they should treat this like a playoff game.

Agree I said last week the playoffs start now for Waverly essentially. Lot of momentum and crazy things can happen. Need to play turnover free football and force some takeaways on defense and we can pull out a tough road win

Two wins slipped through the Tigers grasp or they'd be hosting a game regardless of the outcome of this one. I do agree though, no idea why this game was scheduled.allaboutsports wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2023 12:23 pm This game should have never happened. Waverly will lose worse than they did to Burg. Mt. If we keep "doing what we do" it won't be close. Tigers need to mix it up and do different things, different looks. Two backs in the backfield, double tight ends. Scrap some of the higher risk pass plays that never work.
Top 8 in Region 16 are all legit - of course we beat #2 Unioto....

Re: Waverly @ Mouth Healthy
Well when you have 7 teams in your league, it makes it tough to schedule non conference games after the majority of other teams are in league play. After the SOC 2 teams start league play, each week there is a team that has to find a non conference game. Mt Healthy was one of the very limited options with a week 10 open. The SOC 2 just needs to figure out a better situation for their teams, whether that’s realignment or merging with another conference. This will continue to be an issue with the current teams.allaboutsports wrote: ↑Mon Oct 16, 2023 12:23 pm This game should have never happened. Waverly will lose worse than they did to Burg. Mt.
