Usually a rough, physical game but see Burg being too much this year.

I know he was hurt last year. Hopefully, this isn't the case for this week too.
Mason is 100%, just been getting Bishop some work.

I got Burg by 14.
West hasn't really played anybody & lost to the only ranked r19 team they played.
Burg has lost to both ranked r19 teams they have played also. And collectively they were 0 - 2 vs the OVC.
But Burg has played the tougher schedule up to this point.

Burg by 14.

Didn’t West win the Conference last year?

Not sure that we are getting much credit, but what else is new.
Both teams have weaknesses and that’s the chess match. Who will exploit them and come out victorious. Last year West did just enough to win. New year new challenge. I think if Porter Township spreads us out it will be very concerning. I think that Tipton running will be a huge factor in West winning. Go Siders!

That's because on Paper and Score comparison, it heavily leans to Burg. In Minford Game Burg had over 400 total yards offense, Minford had -4.
I have watched a few games and West is a very solid football team. #65, #18, # 2 are really, really good. The difference in burg this year and last is the ability to throw the ball. After burg's opening td drive last year, west brought 8 in the box and made us throw, we couldn't.

Did Caudill and Pica play against Burg?

Caudill did, pica did not. Pica would of helped in the run game for sure. Probably would not have been as bad offensively for minford.

#9 (Freshman) is a really good player as well, you haven’t seen much of him because of injury. He’s back 100% and ready to go.
If West can run effectively and mix in Qb runs I think it will be their game to lose. Don’t let them double team Bishop. Need the defense to bend but not break.

If Mason is healthy I think West wins back to back chips. Cole and Jeffery need to be ready

Game day. 10 years ago this would be another mud bowl but those days are over with. Hope for a great competitive game with no injuries. If we limit mistakes and get a few big plays I think we can grind out a win. It will take a serious effort but these boys all know what it’s like to be able to beat Burg throughout the years. They aren’t intimidated. Go West keep the gold ball in Sider town.

When is the last time west won back to back SOC 2 football titles just out of curiosity? Early 2000's? And has anyone other than Valley and BURG won more than 3 in a row in the last couple decades?
Everyone enjoy the game tonite. Will be a big crowd with a great atmosphere. Good luck to all.

West runs the ball controls the clock they have a chance.
They can't try to run with Burg and get in a track meet.
Burg needs the ball to score and west plays keep away may be the way to go.

Wow perfect football weather. The Soc championship comes down to week 10 between 2 very good football programs. This is a throwback to some of the great games between these 2 in the 80’s/90’s. Atmosphere should be electric. Feels like an old Miller vs Tipton Friday night in southern ohio lol. Good luck to both teams.
