Vinton County finished off their incredible season by beating their rivals last Friday to clinch an outright TVC Ohio Championship. Gallia breezed past an improved South Point team. In most years, these two teams would have been locks at hosting 1, if not 2 home playoff games. D4 region 15 however, is a bit tougher this year than it has ever been in terms of computer points. The Vikings compiled just over 17 points and would HOST in EVERY Division 2 region with those numbers. However they only managed a 10th seed in this tough region. This will be the 2nd ever playoff meeting between these two schools as they met back during the covid year with Gallia winning with ease. I’d get there early Friday night, this one will be a sellout.

You are correct. Gallipolis also played with a mobile QB that entire scrimmage as well.

Two of the best defenses in the local area going at it. Obviously Gallia is the favorite. They’re at home, they have the more impressive wins and more athletes all across the board. As much as I don’t want to take credit away from an all time VC team, they played a very weak TVC-Ohio schedule. This is the week for them to prove the doubters wrong and their record is no fluke.

I look for a tight game game. A 21-14 type of game. The more disciplined team will win this game. The team who limits the turnovers and penalties.
