As are all Wheelersburg faithful. Excited to see Lattimore get a chance to go against the team that shunned him last year. I hope he has a HUGE game!

GJ Portsmouth!! You definitely wanted it more!

This was a great game. It was back and forth right up until the 4th quarter, and Portsmouth had some great plays that put them up.
Best of luck, Trojans against Burg next week!

Portsmouth played a complete game in all phases. Coaching for Portsmouth tonight was great they ran the ball and ran the ball right at the Fairland defense. Heiland kept finding seams and huge running lanes. Portsmouth won the game at the LOS.
Game was all about handling adversity and Portsmouth made the big plays to win it. Huge moments here and it tells the story of the game:
Fairland goes up 1- they call the trick onside kick and the Portsmouth hands team makes a play. Heiland the crew pound the rock and go down and take the lead. Big answer for Portsmouth to go up 5

Portsmouth kick off and Haden pops it long. Portsmouth defense rises up and gets the stop. Fairland left the 3rd down play on the field. Receiver was open and then the Backer reads it perfectly for the pick on 4th down.

What a big moment for Portsmouth to win that game

Will the team that makes the best adjustments after their prior meeting earlier this season be the favorite in this matchup ? You just never know, but it could and should be a good ballgame. I just know that the Dragons are always pretty hard to beat, especially having the home field advantage, therefor I would have to give the nod to Fairland in this game. Hope that both teams have an injury free game.
Congrats Trojans on a great win. I was certainly wrong on my prediction.

Not sure why Jolly Pirate trolling the PHS vs FHS thread. Not sure anyone got “shunned”, but a team got better as last season went on. Addition by subtraction perhaps. Sometimes it’s better for both parties when a couple gets a divorce. Glad he’s having a great year and flourishing. But we’re also pretty happy with the TEAM chemistry here on Gallia and Waller. Now back to our regularly scheduled PHS vs FHS discussions….

Congrats to the Trojans on a great win. Heiland & Cam Williams were outstanding. Let’s show some love to the defense and OL. Total team effort. Secondary got beat but weirdly enough I liked what I seen. Kids turning around to spot the ball more, getting hands on the ball, something to be positive about. Defense forced a few turnovers late, offense grinded it out. Play calling was better tonight as well. Tough game next week but for now let’s enjoy beating Fairland. Go Trojans!

Ironton wins big, Gallia wins big, Fairland and Portsmouth was a great game. OVC sounds like a strong conference.
