Re: Region 27 Final: Caldwell v Eastern
They don’t have the usual size they have in the past. I know Fort ran all over them but that wing-t can make a lot of teams look bad in run defense. I view Caldwell as a kind of bend don’t break defense. If they can force an incompletion or a short gain on 1st and/or 2nd down, their pass rush can really get after it. I know nothing of Easterns offense though.

Eastern runs three plays. Two runs and one pass. Come stop it if you can. But me thinks Coldwell is much too soft. Eagles in a route.
Hurting the feelings of the nadless wonders who are afraid to comment before the games.

Caldwell is 10-3.
Their opponents are 78-71.
Caldwell is averaging 35.23 points per game
They’re giving up an average of 18.76 points per game.

Re: Caldwell v Eastern
After seeing what Fort Frye did running the ball on Caldwell I just can’t see them stopping Eastern’s running attack. Especially on the turf field. Eastern’s only loss was to a West Virginia passing team. Maybe if Caldwell can find that weakness in the Eastern D they’ll pull this one out. Should be a dandy.

Calling a team "much too soft" is so funny, because Eastern lost to a mediocre WV schoolthirtyonetrap wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2023 10:59 pm Eastern runs three plays. Two runs and one pass. Come stop it if you can. But me thinks Coldwell is much too soft. Eagles in a route.

Tucker County is the same size as Eastern and Caldwell, are undefeated and have a QB with 38 TD passes. They are only mediocre because they’re from WV I guess. Tucker would be 10-3 with Caldwell’s schedule. Probably lose to the same 3 teams.thelegend wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 9:31 amCalling a team "much too soft" is so funny, because Eastern lost to a mediocre WV schoolthirtyonetrap wrote: ↑Sat Nov 11, 2023 10:59 pm Eastern runs three plays. Re: Caldwell v Eastern
Warren is a nice venue, however, I would have thought that Marietta would be an easier bus ride for both teams.
Hopefully, the ticket prices have been reduced by the OHSAA to something much more affordable so that both schools have their largest fan base turnouts of the season. Especially, a more reasonable price for the student bodies.
Going with fellow TVC member Eastern for the win.
Good luck and good health to both teams.

Personally I thought Caldwell would lose to Waterford . Although a good team Caldwell is not as good as River , but who knows , that’s why the game is played on the field and not on paper .

Buckeye Trail and Waterford both beat would beat Tucker....UncleRico05 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 11:37 amTucker County is the same size as Eastern and Caldwell, are undefeated and have a QB with 38 TD passes. Re: Caldwell v Eastern
Each teams offensive strength seems to be the others perceived defensive weakness. Caldwell has tremendous athletes on the outside and an experienced qb. Looking forward to a great game. Go Skin's
