12/8/23 SW @ Western
Look for this one to be game of the night full of Hims. Gonna be a banger in Latham. Give me the Jeeps at -14.5

Western is very undersized, but have a ton of heart and two outstanding juniors.
I’d think SW should win, but could be a fun game for sure.

I would love to see that but it's not going to happen. I've watched both teams this year and if the Indians keep it within 15 that would be a win for Williams and staff.

If this game is within 20 points Webster won’t be anything near what they should be, roberts will have a FIELD DAY against western nobody can matchup with him and they are all around bigger and stronger Haggie is that guy tho.

Ohio state lost to Virginia Tech once upon a time…
Looking forward to a good game. I liked Westerns hustle ins the end vs Piketon but again the Jeeps have ten guys now who got that hustle in them. Proved to be interchangeable in any format at Green the other night with ER benched for about ten minutes. Got some great players on the JV team who can play up too if needed (McClintic)

Haggy and Janes are a fun duo to watch, but Webster's depth and size-advantage will be too much for Western to overcome. We all know about Roberts' height/skill, but Timothy sounds like a solid complimentary player for the Jeeps on the boards and defensive end of the court.*

Big Jack is a baller. Great finisher at the rim and he had several blocks vs green.art_vandelay wrote: ↑Fri Dec 08, 2023 11:10 am Haggy and Janes are a fun duo to watch, but Webster's depth and size-advantage will be too much for Western to overcome. Swank: great to hear…I was wondering how they were going to replace will collins’ production and this kid sounds like he filling in just fine. Sky is the limit for this team and hope they all buy in to what the new staff is doing.*

Re: 12/8/23 SW @ Western
28-3 JV after 1
43-6 half
52-6 three
63-11 Final JV
14-11 SW after 1
27-22 Jeeps halftime
55-36 Jeeps
74-58 FINAL
23 for Roberts and Sommer
28 for Haggy
Sorry just getting around to posting.
The Indians led most of the first quarter and had the paint locked down. Both teams defense was outstanding to start. Roberts had a slow start with only two points and sitting for most of the quarter. Jack Himothy played awesome off the bench once again.
2nd quarter Webster jumped out early but the Indians battled back to keep it close at halftime 27-22
3rd quarter was all Webster opening the quarter up with a couple threes en route to a 28 point blitz. Webster stretched their legs and ran the Indians out of the gym. Showtime Roberts had two monster dunks back to back and missed a third but got his own put back. You could see the Indians lack of depth start to play out, but Haggy was him again and started knocking down three after three.
4th quarter the Jeeps put em away but Haggy lit it up some more. Think Eli had two more dunks. Tyler Sommer tore it up in the paint and offensive glass enroute to 23 points on the night. Several key blocks as well. Overall an outstanding team effort. Brock Campbell off the bench had a great game. Everyone had a great game.
Shoutout to the Indians. There ain’t no quit in the team just unfortunate for them they go no more than 6 deep and are limited height. They’ll be a tough out on any given night they just ran into the buzzsaw that is the Persin/Fenton version of the Jeeps. This ain’t the halfass team you’re used to seeing anymore

I hope you’ll be there to give some updates. Unless they actually stream from SSU.

Got to watch south Webster & western last night. South Webster solid team they have 5-7 solid players. Western needs to focus on maximizing the strengths of their two outstanding players. Haggy & Janes. Develop better & more strategic plays that leverage their skills, and consider rotating them strategically to keep them fresh. Jane’s needs to be more of a threat early to opposing defense's, he’s to talented not to.
Western needs to emphasize team defense to compensate for individual shortcomings because there’s no lack there
and work on improving the weaker players' fundamental skills during practices. Most the team looks like they only play basketball for 3 months out of the year. There’s a big drop off with skills on players 4-8 Additionally, I think coach williams does a good job at fostering a positive team culture to boost morale and motivation, that’s important because they have one tough schedule this year.
