Re: 2023-24 Fairland Dragons (0-0 | 0-0 OVC)
Fairland lost 2 from last years D-II State Semi-Finals squad. Tomi Hinkle (11.4ppg & 4apg) now at Tiffin and Reece Barnitz (3.3ppg) now at Wright State running Cross Country.
Hinkle was the primary ball handler but all 6 listed below can handle the ball. They will miss Hinkle but I have no doubt they will all step up and fill that void.
I see 1 thru 6 as being set. They all logged substantial minutes last season with their final 4 run. Coach Buchanan likes to play uptempo and utilize a deep bench. The question for me is who steps up to be the next 2-4 in the rotation.
My Projected starters
Allen (Sr) 13.4ppg / 6.6rpg / 2.1apg / 3.3spg [1000+ points / 500+ Reb] Tiffin commit
Bruce (Sr) 6.5ppg / 4.7rpg / 2.0apg / 1.4spg [500+ Reb] Walsh commit
K Barnitz (Jr) 8.6ppg / 2.9rpg / 2.0apg / 1.7spg
Russell (So) 12.8ppg / 3.9rpg / 1.6apg / 2.0spg
Godby (So) 6.9ppg / 5.9rpg / 2.8apg / 2.9spg
1st off the bench
Talaferro (So) 4.3ppg / 2.0rpg

Look for Godby to take over a lot of the scoring for Hinkle . Should be a pretty good year for the Dragons .
Re: 2023-24 Fairland Dragons (0-0 | 0-0 OVC)
They also have Leep and the big girl on the bench. Depending on who plays this year they also have other girls that are good enough to play for any team in the conference. They have players.

Though 2 games all 5 starters are averaging double-digits in points.

What an impressive performance by the dragons. They play like that they will win a state championship. Got to watch it on tv. Announcers were great. Great win!

Caught the tail end of Fairland's rout of Reynoldsburg. The Raiders are no slouch, but the Dragons pretty much had their way with them. FHS looked like a machine with all parts working together. They'll be tough to beat again in the OVC.
