This feels like a trap game for the Jeeps. Coming off their two biggest wins of the season against Fairland and VC, and alternatively the pirates for “upset” by Jackson. Burg will have the energy and motivation no doubt. I don’t think they can matchup with Roberts size, so it will have to be a hot shooting night and a scrappy defensive effort for burg to win. Should be a great atmosphere.

Jeeps by 15 Eli is playing a million times better really impressed with how his attitude changed from last year Jack Timothy off the bench is huge help too then everyone else is adding their contributions to the team the Jeeps are very scary they went in the locker room at halftime down 6 last night and came out a different time

The Jeeps are off to a great start going 9-0 against teams from 8 different counties. Ironically, the next 2 games against 2 neighboring school districts in Scioto County will pose the biggest challenge of the season.
I like the Jeeps vs Wheelersburg. Webster's size in Roberts/Timothy/Sommer will give Wheelersburg trouble. I could see Webster doubling Wheelersburg's points in the paint. But if Wheelersburg is shooting it well, this will be a great game. Wheelersburg played a zone defense against Portsmouth and had some success in slowing the game down, and I expect them to have the same strategy against Webster. The key will be how patient and deliberate Webster will be in attacking the basket rather than settling for contested outside shots like Portsmouth did.
It could go either way, but my prediction is Webster 55-44 (Roberts with 24 and Timothy with 12 to lead the Jeeps)

Make no mistake about it this Burg team can play. They are young and play several sophomores who have played with each other since grade school and on AAU teams together. Sophomores Rucker and McGraw both can handle and shoot the ball well and both can drive to the basket and finish. Both of them are capable of putting up 20+ points a game. Burg's senior Latimore will be force to carry the load and has ben putting up big numbers over the last few games, and the Jeeps will have to stop him from getting to the basket. Burg as always will come out and try and set the tempo of the game by pushing the ball up and down the court quickly and playing aggressive defense. However if anyone has watched the Jeeps at all this season, this is a completely different Webster team. They aren't afraid to get out in transition and score and can slow it way down and wait patiently for an easy shot. They are way more composed as a team and don't rattle easily even when being down. Coach Persin may not be the old Coach Persin from years past storming up and down the sideline, but he has definitely put his staple on this Webster team and the team has bought into his style of coaching and play. Everyone on the team knows their roles and their bench is deeper than what some may believe. If Webster plays the way they have been they're capable of beating Burg easily by 15+. But as always this will be another great rivalry game in the Jeeps Den!!

I’ve watched Burg in person twice.
If Lattimore catches 2 fouls early this one’s gonna get ugly real quick. Size and experience favors SW big here.

Off the top of my head I think SW’s had only had the zone played on them for about 5 minutes and that was last night. Didn’t work out too good for VC.

My 1st time watching SW this year, very disappointed! Everything I’ve been reading on here I thought they were good. Getting out hustled and out rebounded. Eli has not changed at all, bad attitude, lazy. Rucker is by far the best player on the court.

Bad take. Watched it on the tube.

There were some missed calls both ways but not many. You’re too emotional about the loss. Webster had zero fight in them tonight. Burg was better tonight

Great game tonight by the Pirates! Lattimore in early foul trouble. Rucker steps up. Burg out rebounding SW. Roberts quit early. Pirates controlled the second half. Nice win tonight! On to the next one! And Swanker, what’s the word?
