Yes he would kill it. But only thing is Jack won’t play the politics game. Probably the only reason he’s not in contention for the job. I did hear that the “guy from Meigs” is in the running. Not sure if that’s the guy who just got fired or someone else. If not him maybe Bertram or Chancy are considering coaching again? And who’s the “Trimble guy” someone else mentioned?Speedy991 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 07, 2024 2:52 pmWould be awesome to see jack james coaching one more time with a bigger school. And bring some old faces around with him. Lord knows he has an arsenal of coaches that he coached.Old Shorts wrote: ↑Thu Jan 04, 2024 7:57 pm Contact the old fella from SW, SG and RV+ fame. He’s got a whole posse of former players and coaches who will come with him and build a program that the whole county will be proud of. Come on man, it’s a no brainer.

Its prolly Koondogger. He won a state title in JH track. Thats all we hear about. He even took the trophy and made it into a hood ornament and has a parde for himself about once a week.Old Shorts wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 6:53 amYes he would kill it. In all likelihood, it will be Coach McClelland if he wants it. And honestly, he could do well.

Can't say I've heard much about the man. Whoever gets the job, I hope he sticks around to build a program. I'd say give Donnie Johnson a call and give him the keys to the program.BlizzardMan wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 12:24 pm In all likelihood, it will be Coach McClelland if he wants it. Donnie lives away and has a great career and thriving business. Doubt he is coming back to Gallia County.MisterGalliaGuy2016 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 16, 2024 9:49 pmCan't say I've heard much about the man. Job is open until the 26th here on Friday. Looks to be a low number of applicants especially for what used to be a great job.

Re: GA football
Saw the minutes of the BOE meeting on the Tribune website the other day. Only mention was the acceptance of Kole Carter's resignation.
Interestingly, Aiden Toler and Larry Carter were in attendance.
Minutes were for the open meeting only, Board went into executive session after that.

Aiden Toler is a student rep of GAHS. He did not show for the previous meetings is what I heard.GalliaGrad78 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 25, 2024 5:44 pm Saw the minutes of the BOE meeting on the Tribune website the other day. Only mention was the acceptance of Kole Carter's resignation.

I read the minutes of the previous board meeting as well, there were several people there to speak on Coach Carter's behalf.
As usual, money rules the day.

Admittedly confused. Didn't Carter resign to go to a much better school?GalliaGrad78 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 26, 2024 8:45 am I read the minutes of the previous board meeting as well, there were several people there to speak on Coach Carter's behalf.
