Good couple games before the tournament for fairland between Portsmouth Thursday and Boyd today. Good wins and competition for the Dragons. They play Portsmouth Notre Dame on Monday. Notre Dame has only lost 2 games, but they do play a Division 4 schedule. Kudos to them for scheduling this game. Should be good for each team. Fairland starts tournament play on Thursday.

The balanced scoring is crucial for Fairland as they head into the tournament. When Barnitz is shooting the 3 ball well, getting inside outside play from Allen and Bruce. Add in Russell ability to hit jump shots and Godby playing all 3 levels on offense they are clicking. Getting strong bench contributions from Tellifario-Leep they are playing well I like them being able to go to Taylor if they are struggling with size. The overall athleticism of this team makes them so tough to play against they can play any style of basketball. The defensive length of Allen-Bruce and Godby forces so many turnovers they block several shots a game. Add in Barntiz quick hands they are legit on D too. Today was a huge test for them to go into Kentucky and beat Boyd handedly is a great win. Can’t wait to see this team attack the tournament.

Agree with all your points. Fairland playing well right now. Maybe that loss to Portsmouth earlier in the year is exactly what they needed. I believe Fairland is the better of the two teams, but Portsmouth wanted it that night! Fairland got hit in the face that night by Portsmouth, but they have responded since then as they should’ve.
