Correct. The gap in talent is burgs burden in comparison to IHS and HP
Why do you keep putting IHS with HP? IHS has the best talent in D5, but they consistently underperform and seem to be heading in the wrong direction with regards to their execution.

HP, on the other hand, doesn’t have IHS’ talent but are starting to put it together on the field and appear to be the new big dog in the region.

Maybe Pendleton can turn it around with regards to his coaching. Everything is in place for a state title this year, including a tough schedule that IHS fans have been wanting. Now it’s up to him to prove he can do it.

I have to agree that Pendleton now will have to coach much better during the game.

No D5 school comes close to the college D1 talent that Ironton has. All D5 schools combined don’t have college power 5 offers that IHS players are getting.

Perry has at least 3 on roster with D1 offers. They also sent a couple off last years team d1.

Couldn’t find the D1 offers for Perry. One from last year was a track scholarship to the Air Force Academy. Not a power 5 school.

According to the posts on this site from IHS fans, Ironton has four players on the roster with at least one P5 offer. Also, looking at the top recruits in Ohio for 2025, IHS has two on the list while the rest of D5 has zero. If not on this list, probably not getting a P5 offer.

All this great talent Ironton has had needs to start showing up in college. 🤔

Burg Offense should duplicate this years production, could very well be better than the 2023 campaign.

Defense will need worked on especially in the front 6. There were about 6 juniors and sophomores that saw meaningful reps on that side of the ball. So it's not completely empty.

Special teams will be fine.

Well no s#%t Sherlock!! When both HP and Ironton are bringing in 5-7 players a year the gap will be huge!!

Sad thing is neither one of them have anything to show even bringing in that talent.

So to conclude, Ironton and Prep are each outperforming Burg on the field overall as well as head to head, and each have more homegrown talent, and each outrecruit Burg as well.

I miss anything? 🤣

That's tuff if you are a big Burg football guy. Lol. Wait, do those exist at a softball school anyways? 🤣

More homegrown talent??? Where the hell is that? You take away all the players they have brought in over the last 5 years and they are mediocre at best, hence the reason he has to bring in other schools best players every year.

Like I said, they both should be able to outperform every school in DV with the talent they have brought in yet neither one of them have S%#T to show for it.

Pathetic if you ask me!

Yes. HP has never won state, and the last time IHS won a state title, the World Wide Web was just coming out!

Stop by the Burg if you want to see a state title trophy that hasn’t faded with time!

But, the truth of my statement remains. Ironton and Prep are outperforming Burg overall and head to head on the field, as well as outrecruiting them. Even if burg raided Portsmouth of one of their best senior offensive threats this past year.

With the step up to D4 and Ironton and Preps attraction from talent, the burg recruiting trail probably needs to ramp up or its gonna be a long 10 weeks lol

Ahh. At least softball is OK 🤣 Not all is lost. Lol

Well during Pendletons tenure there have been homegrown Ironton kids recruited at the D1 level as pretty decently rated recruits.

Burg hasn't been able to develop those so yes, Irontons homegrown talent is more talented than "Homegrown Burg" also.
