POY in Soc3 predictions

Post by Valley91 »

1 Copley
2 Keyser
3 Lattimore
4/5 Montgomery/ Roberts
6 Rucker

Roberts would’ve been much higher but attitude kept him from maximum potential.

All very good choices, but I think it will be Lattimore. He lead a young Burg team to the SOC title.

Very true I don’t think Burg wins soc3 without him.

it has to be lattimore. copley is the most talented, i think burg maybe loses 4 more games without him.

1. Lattimore
2. Copley
3. Roberts
4. Montgomery
5. Sommer

Burg won title, so I going with the guy who got them there. Great season for Lattimore and Burg.*

Copley averaging 25ppg/6rpg/3apg and broke the scoring record at lucasville valley from what I read on seperate thread

What is Lattimore averaging?

agreed, VALUABLE is Lattimore to the SOC Title Team. Copley is the BEST player in the Conference hands down imo though

It’ll be Lattimore.
Roberts probably 2nd with the amount of rebounds and blocks he has per game. The blocks probably negate 10-14 pts per game

Agree.

This is always the great debate when it comes to MVP awards.

Copley may be most talented & dangerous when he’s on but you can’t give it to a player on team with a losing record. Has to be Lattimore with Roberts and Montgomery right behind him. Lattimore the most efficient scorer & unstoppable at getting to the bucket. Plus he led burg to the soc3 title when most ppl thought burg would be no better than 3rd.

I honestly think Keyser is more important to Minford than what Montgomery is.

I can see it both ways. Keyser has the higher ceiling post-high school due to his size, but Montgomery still the guy Minford wants with the ball in his hands in crunch time. Anybody from Minford have the stats breakdown for the 2 players (points/rebounds/assists)?*

Lattimore. That team is solid to good without him, but completely on another level with him. He was huge in their biggest games and Burg doesn’t win the title without him, IMO.

I’d have Copley next, even though his team hasn’t been very good. The teams above Valley all have multiple options that you are trying to stop, Valley has Copley and he still scored 25+ PPG.

Montgomery, Roberts, Kayser, Sommer are all likely hurt a little by the depth of their teams and the fact that they may have had off nights and their teams still won.

Agree about Keyser & next level. But for me, it’s the intangibles for Montgomery. The intensity he plays with every possession on both ends, no matter the score. He’s got a motor like no other & he makes everyone else better. Both guys are elite HS players.

I would go with Copley. Seems like POY usually comes from the team that wins the league. It will probably be Lattimore.
Kind of curious to see what happens in SOC2. Northwest wins the league but who wins POY. Most people will say Lintz but in league play Bolin has alot better numbers. Jace White has had a great season.

Lattimore for POY just for the simple fact that with out him Burg probably wins 11games and for sure doesn’t even sniff the top place in SOC 3

Lintz was 1st team all district but he is not Northwest leading scorer Bolin is. For the season they are close to each other in league games they are not.
