Lol, they're not in the SOC III But it's still being talked about for the past 6-7 posts

LOL.
It’s great Northwest had a successful season. Exciting to see how they do in the tournament.
Btw, why are they not in SOC3 in basketball?

Not for sure why they was moved down. I'm guessing so they have a better chance of competing. It's going to hard to replace this year's senior class. The JV team also had a successful season only losing 3 games. So will just have to see what the future holds.RBH23 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 22, 2024 1:33 pmLOL.

Re: POY in Soc3 predictions
Lattimore would have to be the favorite in my mind with Burg winning the SOC title. Montgomery would be second on my list. Not only did he lead the team in scoring in almost every single game this season, but the guy racks up quite a few assists and steals per game. I don't have the numbers on everybody, but I'd be shocked if anybody forces more turnovers than him. I think the tossup is between Roberts/Kayser at third. Both are very identical players capable of going north of 20 in the score column every night. Kayser finished multiple games this season in double figures in both rebounds and blocks. I didn't see Roberts as much, but I'm sure he did the same. 5th on my list would be Copley. Majorly talented player, definitely the best shooter of the bunch. But with the performance of the team this year, it would be hard to put him any higher than 5th on a POY.

Re: POY in Soc3 predictions
Lattimore is no doubt the player of the year in the SOCIII. Last night's performance proved how valuable he is to the Burg. He took over the game in the second quarter and scored Burg's first 9 points to start the quarter and Burg got out to a lead and never looked back. The last two games against Valley he scored 33 and 29 points as Valley had no answer for him.
I think he is also a candidate for District POY as well. No doubt that without him Burg struggles to win games this year. Doubt they win the SOCIII or be going to the Convo.

Give it to the best player on the best team unless you have a great reason why not. Should be Lattimore. Wish OVC would have a Player of the Year, think it’s a neat way to honor a kid and is fun to talk about.

Well Chesapeake won but I can’t see giving it to any individual on their team. I’d probably go Berry.
Re: POY in Soc3 predictions
If this is the criteria you are basing it on... valley would be lucky to win a single game without Copley; so, what is that.. like 10 more losses for them without him?Elijah Craig wrote: ↑Wed Feb 21, 2024 7:20 am it has to be lattimore. copley is the most talented, i think burg maybe loses 4 more games without him.

Didn't they already pick the district. Lattimore was 2nd team. Branson Copas was POY.yabbadabbadoo wrote: ↑Sun Feb 25, 2024 10:01 am Lattimore is no doubt the player of the year in the SOCIII.
