New lex wins 51 to 49 at the buzzer. I thought it was not shot in time but was VERY CLOSE. Officials said basket good New Lex sectional Champs. Unbelievable atmosphere for both games here at ZT tonight. Hats off to all 4 teams...each brought 100% effort and poured every ounce of energy into the game.

I thought exact same thing. It was my 3rd time seeing Miami Trace but first time seeing New Lexington. First half both sides was sloppy. Physicality picked up in the 2nd half causing a lot more foul calls. Free throws were big.

I'm not 100% sure but I seen a Miami Trace player from the bench going nuts and ready to fight someone. Initially was confused at what provoked him then the person next to me said two New Lex fans (students?) seated directly behind MT bench was screwing with him.

I will take your word for it. I didn't have a dog in the race so I am unbiased as it gets, but I initially thought the ball was still in contact with the fingers when buzzer sounded but of you say it was out a split second prior to it sounding then I will believe you

I don't either, but I replayed the Zane Trace "in house" hudl cam numerous times. It just left his hand when the buzzer went off. New Lex started the play a little late. Almost did not get a shot.

I actually did the same thing! Took several reminds to get final judgement. According to my eyes, there was 0.2 seconds remaining when the ball was no longer touching the fingers. Incredibly close!!! Great call by the officials too they got it right without any benefit of replay. Such a great game to watch. I absolutely love tournament time. It just means more....

Then they need to have better seating arrangements,at these tournament games and why would NL fans be seating behind the MT bench for, either you rope it off and split the gym in half,so this doesn't happen

I replayed as well, had .03 seconds when it left his hand but your .02 is close enough. I thought the ball was on the rim when the horn went off.
