Coaching Openings
Coaching Openings
The conclusion of the basketball year has happened for many teams. What schools will be searching for a new coach leading them into the 24’-25’ season?

Get away from the Rock Hill connection. Hire and outsider like you did in football

I agree. Going away from the district may be a good thing. If these coaches have been on staff for awhile then it may be the same stuff/system that didn't work then and probably won't work now. If your successful and have had the same staff for years then yes go in house but rock hill has not been good for awhile.
Re: Coaching Openings
Some chatter about the Rock Hill opening going on. How about anything on the other posted opening at ZT?

Circleville is open
They lose a lot, but got a nice transfer already. Doesn’t seem like the most solid place with the admin though.

Re: Coaching Openings
CV has become a graveyard in boys sports in recent years. Teays going to the OCC doesn’t change much when the rest of the Buckeye programs (sans Amanda) have more robust programs.danicalifornia wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2024 1:13 am Circleville is open

The only prospects the boys programs have is to land in the more opportunistic postseason tournament (D3 or D4) for a given year and get the right matchups.
It could be that CV is an unusual victim of having really solid athletics on the girls’ side. You look at the competition Roundtown has fall to spring, and an ‘already playing for second’ situation quickly becomes ‘try to stay out of last or second to last.’ That gets weary.
