BS post that is only half factual and a hatchet job. Keep pushing your agenda.

BS, article with an agenda. You fail to mention they get parking, concessions and programs. And FYI it’s a tournament, it’s not a home game.

In this “hatchet job” they also omitted that schools no longer get a share of the pre-sale gate like they did in the past. Also, the state legislators mandated OHSAA to charge the same amount for a cash ticket at tournament sites after they implemented an “upcharge” for those who didn’t buy tickets online in advance.

Many don’t take parking. Programs are nonexistent. A little money to be made unless it’s a solid crowd.

Been to 6 different tournament locations so far this year and 2 have done parking, but one was Jackson and the other was the Convo, which both have done parking for years.
The only programs sold are the cheap ones from the state, so not even the cool ones that the Convo had forever are being sold anymore.
Concessions are the only place to make money for schools at this point.

And those programs are FREE to the schools and NO effort on part of the schools. So selling is free cash, no work. And just to recoup cost on the Convo programs, they’d have to be about $5 a pop, because printing cost have increased that much.Ironman92 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 6:25 pmJackson had no charge for the programs. Logan charged $3 for the same programs.danicalifornia wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2024 1:19 pmBeen to 6 different tournament locations so far this year and 2 have done parking, but one was Jackson and the other was the Convo, which both have done parking for years.

It should be a 60/40 split or even 70/30 split. And when I say split it should be 60-70 for the Schools and 30-40 for the OHSAA
OHSAA needs to get rid of about half their employees! Non profit organization is certainly making a huge profit!

From parking to programs, I feel all of this needs to be the same regardless of site. I also agree the majority of the generated funds should go back to the schools doing all the work!

The OH$AA is the biggest sham in the world. Always has been! Always will be!
It's sad they are not selling the program at the Convo. That was always a great read with all the teams and all the history.
