Any given day,,can't judge Sheridan, because never seen them play just compared scores, then you can get in trouble, Portsmouth beat Fairland once a young team that I thought was a year away? Fast pace Fairland by 8 .

Sheridan will look to slow the tempo down, and rely on their solid man defense, and offensive execution. Sheridan has 2 very good scorers in Stinson and Saffell, a much improved Heller, and a good PG in Warner. Generals will have the ball-handling to handle Fairland’s pressure.

Up-tempo game favors Fairland, slower HC style game makes things interesting as both teams can execute. Ultimately I think Fairland’s size/athleticism and shooting wins out. I’ll take Fairland by 10-15.

West Muskingum played Sheridan , lost by 13 , 53-40 . WM played Fairland , lost by 41 , 63-22 . This is the only common opponent they have so just by the looks of it , Fairland should win it but ya never know . I would like to see what WM coach has to say about the the matchup.

I say Fairland by 10 or 12 .

Very good post. I agree that Fairland ultimately wins out, they are playing very well right now, even though this is a very good Sheridan team.

How deep is Sheridan's rotation?

8/9 played big minutes against Jackson due to foul trouble and they won by 20+

I’d say 7 comfortably, but they need Stinson to stay out of foul trouble in this game, which she has struggled with in the tournament.

I’d say that’s about where Fairland is. They play 6 a lot and have a 7th they can trust too. They have an 8th that would probably start for any team in the Ovc except Portsmouth. She’s a big.

Lady Dragons have done a really good job controlling tempo in their tournament games so far. I think Sheridan will be the first team they have faced in the tournament that may be able to challenge them for that control.

I’ve seen a few highlights of the Lady Generals — it look like they slow it down coming up the floor then try and go inside more than shooting beyond the arc. From the highlights I’ve seen it was hard to get a good read on their defense style, but if the Lady Dragons can continue to spread the ball around and make shots, I think they come away with this one. Might not be as much of a point spread as their last two games, but they have the ability to make buckets when it counts.

Good luck, Coach Buch & the Ladies! Bring home another Regional!!
