Nick Lodolo threw a bullpen session yesterday and has a follow up evaluation today. Chance that he isn’t ready for the start of the season. If he’s not then the Reds have plenty of SP depth with Greene, Abbott, Ashcraft, Montas, Williamson & Martinez who can start. Hopefully it’s nothing and he’s ready to go, but it’s a shame how he can’t stay healthy.

Definitely a bad look, and that hurts as he could’ve been in the running for NL Roy. Luckily it’s an infield spot, and the Reds are deep there. Even without him playing 3rd or SS they’ll have Elly & McLain who can play SS and Elly, Steer, CES, Candelario who can all play 3rd. Curious who this opens a roster spot for. My guess is Barrero, but Josh Harrison is also a possibility, along with an extra pitcher but I doubt that one.

Barrero was claimed off waivers by the Rangers. I would assume this means Josh Harrison will very likely make the opening day roster. He can play 2nd and SS. Tony Kemp had an outside shot but I don’t see him over Harrison.
