I donât think Brown will ever coach a single football game.Prep Expert wrote: âMon Mar 18, 2024 1:48 pm ExpertNews is breaking out of the academy today, disappointing but not surprising. Shouldnât be much longer before all is revealed. Heard they interviewed Brown from RVHS before they made the final decision to go with the guy that has never been responsible for either side of the ball. This entire program has went down the drain, only one sheep farmer to throw questions to now. Hereâs to 10 years of mediocrity.

Letting Penrod go was a mistake. Carters success was Penrodâs kids that penrod developed from Jr High age. The talent is gone and If you think two 9-3 records were âgoodâ you shouldâve been at the games and seen the lack of coaching in the games that the academy lost. Talent won those games, lack of coaching cost them.

Didnât Penrod step down because of a family health issue?Prep Expert wrote: âMon Mar 18, 2024 4:32 pm Letting Penrod go was a mistake. I would have done everything possible to give Penrod his time in returning instead of moving on.
As far as coaching is concerned, one look at the sideline would tell you all youâd need to know

Re: Gallia Academy 2024
Since (and including) 2017, GA is 51-20. Pretty good by any measure. And yet, itâs still not enough. Gallia Academy doesnât have the same number of kids in their school district as they did 30-40 years ago. Most schools across the state would be very satisfied with that. However, GA is not. Itâs mind boggling to me that anyone would think that this would be failure.
Whatâs even more amazing is that rather than looking at the successes both coaches had, people will look at their failures. Then, people wonder why they canât find a coach. Thereâs only maybe 3 other schools in the SE region might consider this as not up to par, and GA is not one of them. GA will never find a coach worth their salt when you canât get community support. Period.

51-20 record in that span is pretty good. Community support is a big factor. Coaching isnât easy, which is why everyone doesnât do it.

The new coach will be announced in the coming days. Final interviews took place last week as I was told. The monthly board meeting is wednesday.

Re: Gallia Academy 2024
Is the talent pool still the same now for Gallia as it was in the old SEOAL days ?
