Someone has been notified. My out of town buddy didn’t get the position, was told today!

According to rumors, the decision is being made between Marcus Games, Mike Smith, and Garth Fry

Games was a long time wrestling coach at VCHS. He spent some time on previous staffs as an assistant. He was the OC for Zane Trace a few years back and came back to VC in the same position under the last head coach.

Mike Smith was most recently at Wellston. He lead the rockets to a TVC championship in 2020 and multiple playoff appearances at a school that hasn’t had that many. Smith was also the last coach to defeat VC (at Wellston 2020) since 2012 (Chris Hutchinson).

Garth Fry is a VCHS alum. Has spent time on the staff the last few years as an assistant.
