most of the board and parents didn't like him i guess because little Johnie not getting enough playing time a basketball coach can big up a program and get fired but another basketball coach can destroy a program and that's ok.

The posting on OHSAA doesn't specify if it's a boys or girls job! lol
It is in fact boys.
Why? The program is on a roll and a lot coming back. If it hadn't been for injuries late in the season, they would had an even better result!
Any thoughts on whether Meigs hires within or looks elsewhere for their next coach. Are returning players not supportive? Were they concerned some might not stay in the program. I thought Meigs got a lot of wins out of their injury-plagued season.

Because coach hill isn’t related to a board member. Meigs will never change this the kids will suffer. Wow

Pretty bum deal for Hill.
Few points away from a share of the TVC title all while dealing with season ending injuries to his best players.
Solid record, solid staff.
Bizarre board move!!

No clue! I'm hoping it wasn't due to any ill will.

Didn’t Meigs finish the season with 5 or 6 players and yet still ended up 16-6? Bizarre to say the least.

I agree Meigs had a remarkable season for the injury problems they faced. Sometimes players and parents matter in these situations (whether they should or not is another topic). Does anyone know what the players think of this? Maybe that was a factor.

Any chatter on who the front runners might be for any of these jobs?
Is Meigs filled?

Literally all it takes to become a 20 year head coach is to get a singular job. You never have to win and you’ll still get hired elsewhere because you were a varsity coach once.

Be 150 games under .500? It’s alright, because you have experience!

I imagine some of these positions will be filled soon. McClain? Logan? Meigs? Am I missing any others?
