New OHSAA Division Breakdowns
New OHSAA Division Breakdowns
Have all schools been placed into their respective 7 new divisions yet? I thought I read where the April OHSAA meeting was going to announce this list, but I'm not seeing it anywhere yet. Any information, insights out there?

Re: New OHSAA Division Breakdowns
Will be interesting to see what they do for East district in some divisions. Take D3 for example, the Southeast gets 1 team to the regional level while it mentions nothing of the East. Are we thinking they will get thrown in with southeast or placed let's say Northeast where they will have 6 teams moving to the regional level.

Saw it today, looks like Hiland boys moved out of smallest division to D-VI.

It looks like D3 Southeast has
Marietta
Sheridan
Warren
Athens
Miami Trace
Chillicothe
I could be missing a few but those were the ones that stood out to me just quickly scanning.

Re: New OHSAA Division Breakdowns
I wonder what other schools will join this district? Will they pull from the east, central or west?
OR will these schools just get absorbed into the east, central and west and there will be no D3 SED..?

Re: New OHSAA Division Breakdowns
South Webster will have a real shot to win D7 championship next season. Berlin Hiland going up to D6 and Richmond Heights to D5 are real big for the Jeeps.
D6 looks like teams like Valley, West, North Adams, etc. could all see extended tourney runs. Clay and Fed Hocking getting pushed up into D6 unlucky for them.
Likewise, Richmond Heights going to D5 not good for local schools like Minford, Burg, or Ironton. Harvest Prep/Africentric also in that division as well. But there still somewhat of a chance Richmond Heights opts into D1 tourney.*

Re: New OHSAA Division Breakdowns
I couldn't believe some of these enrollment numbers, I never would've thought Jackson was smaller than Warren.

Re: New OHSAA Division Breakdowns
And I thought Jackson was at 274 males and Warren at 269. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. But the competitive balance component might be at play here?
