I asked about a portsmouth wr that hit the portal to burg and I got banned. Burg fans do this to ironton kids on seops daily. Wondering what the difference is per the posted rules?
I haven’t seen any other fans of any other school bash players like you. That’s the difference.
I have collected screenshots and did lots of research on this site. Wanna bet? Lol
Very interested in seeing how many Burg fans have bashed kids. Speaking for myself, I don’t do it. Also have never been banned or suspended from the site :)

So irontons has 11 regular season games? How did they pick up 3 opponents with only 2 open dates?

I have a copy of the Ironton schedule but will not release it until I'm told it's OK. There is no Mooney on the schedule.

Is there a reason it’s not being released to the public yet?

interesting they picked up Clarkson North, they will get 0 points for that game. Martinsburg just beat them up in the trenches last year in the classic

IHS definitely upped their schedule. First seven games will be a grind. Will see if it pays dividends come playoffs.

As for the team from Canada, wouldn’t put them in the win column quite yet. They may not have the best record but are use to playing big Ohio schools. Won’t be intimidated playing in the Tank.

No doubt about it keeping Burg, Jackson, and Cabell-Midland as well as adding the NY school, Hartley and Pikeville are all great additions. but for Clarkson North OHSAA doesn’t give out any playoff points anymore to Canadian schools that was my only gripe. If they were able to get a school from NY to play you’d figured they could’ve gotten another KY or WV team to play

Wow, that sucks. Didn’t realize that. So basically a glamorized scrimmage.

Filling a 10 game schedule each and every year is going to be tricky.

Pretty much it is, I know St Ignatius and Hoban have scheduled them before and actually got points but it changed roughly 2-3 years ago abt not giving points for any Canadian teams

Wow tough schedule, I heard Ironton was really wanting to schedule a MAC school for the classic like Marion local but no MAC teams wanted to do a home/away contract because of the travel

For the classic? MAC league play is already in full swing by the time it happens.

Not sure if it was for the classic but there was talks because Ironton had multiple open dates

Ironton would have to give up Wheelersburg or Jackson to play a MAC team, I think they start league play week 3.

Marion local would put a running clock on them.

I think it would be a competitive game for 3 qtrs. After that you could be correct.

A MAC school would have been a great addition, but tough to get due to travel and MAC conference schedule.

Location is definitely a challenge for IHS as an independent. Most Ohio public schools IHS’s size are in conferences and do not want to travel a long distance for games; plenty of competition for them closer to their home.

To avoid having to play un-winnable games against Ohio’s big catholic schools that are willing to travel, IHS needs to snag some smaller private schools out of Columbus and Cincy. Maybe even a Clinton Massie. Plus hold onto Burg, Jackson, and the three OVC schools currently on the schedule.

Again, I think it’s great they are playing such a tough schedule. Will be interesting to see if it pans out come playoffs. But also being independent is going to come with lots of challenges. Hope it works out.

Ironton will have a much tougher time if the OVC schools they are still playing decide to stop. Finding Weeks 8-10 games that make sense is nearly impossible.
