Rumor has it that two local teams will be squaring off at Ed Miller stadium in the Burg for week one. Not sure how well attended that game will be

Barnesville @ Fort Frye is a huge week 1 game.

Since 2019, Unioto is +12 points better than VC in their week 1 matchup. 2 games have been decided by 1 point and another by 5. No reason to think this years game will be anything different.

Eds is a powerhouse no doubt. However I feel they will drop a tick this year. They lost some talent but will reload like always but I think they do not win the state this year. I think they lost a bit too much. North has talent and is playing at home. It just might be a close one. First game of the year so it's possible it could be close. I think this is the year Springfield has it's best shot to win the state in division 1. If they don't this year then not sure if they ever will.

Is Trimble vs Nelsonville-York still a week 1 matchup? Used to be a HUGE Saturday night season opener.

This game is still week 1. Was on Saturday for a long time but has moved back to Friday night.
