Iām curious as to why they donāt deserve itā¦.
Sounds like pure jealousy that Gallipolis plays in a sewer swamp while poor little āundeservingā Meigs plays in a nice newer stadium with new turf.

Nolan Yates is gonna spank that Blue Devil azz week 1. We definitely hired the better coach.

In all honesty, the game should definitely be a lot closer than the last few.MarauderMadness wrote: āTue May 07, 2024 9:10 pm Nolan Yates is gonna spank that Blue Devil azz week 1. We definitely hired the better coach.

I think itās a bad look to say any SE Ohio kids donāt ādeserveā something nice. Our kids battle against well-funded suburb schools and state-funded inner-city schools in every sport. I wish every kid in area had facilities to be proud of.Jimbob2023 wrote: āMon May 06, 2024 7:50 pmIām curious as to why they donāt deserve itā¦.

Re: Gallia Academy 2024
I see this being a lot tougher year than it should be. Coach is having problems filling his staff. A lot of internal problems coming to boil
And football is going to take the brunt of it apparently.

Agree, although I do think it's a bit of a slap in the face that Holzer has been in on the stadium for two neighboring districts. Not sure who to point fingers at with that one, but it is worth nothing that two of GA's biggest historical rivals play at a venue at least in part paid for and named after the hospital system founded by the late Dr. Charles E. Holzer, Jr.GrumpyPundit wrote: āTue May 14, 2024 11:02 pmI think itās a bad look to say any SE Ohio kids donāt ādeserveā something nice. Re: Gallia Academy 2024
Gallia's first year in their new school was 2009, this fall will mark the 16th year with no new football stadium for whatever reasons. But looking at fourseasons football data, this new coach will be the 6th in that span.MisterGalliaGuy2016 wrote: āThu May 23, 2024 7:01 amAgree, although I do think it's a bit of a slap in the face that Holzer has been in on the stadium for two neighboring districts. 16 years, 6 coaches(3 with playoff wins non returned), no new stadium
Something is going on in that community. Don't know if it is school administration or parents and community but something seems off. Especially if the posters above are accurate and the new coach is having a hard time filling a staff.

Re: Gallia Academy 2024
There are not enough big money donors in Gallipolis to pay for a new field. Period.
Not to mention, not everyone in the district wants a new field.

Legend has it that Virginia and Ohio fought over who had to be the unfortunate state to accept Meigs County as part of that state's land mass.MarauderMadness wrote: āThu May 23, 2024 11:08 am Wow

Unfortunately for the state of Ohio, the Virginians won that one.

I hear there are a lot of people that do not want to leave Memorial Field because of tradition! I will not see a new football stadium at Gallia Academy High School in my lifetime!
Re: Gallia Academy 2024
Your right because Holzer offered the money, but no because of the name Memorial field, would not change to Holzer field

Re: Gallia Academy 2024
Question is, was Meigs field financed with a tax levy? If so, your aren't comparing apples to apples.Trans_State69 wrote: āFri May 24, 2024 11:08 amSo you are trying to tell us there is less money in Gallia county available than there was at the Welfare capital of SEO aka Meigs county? A new football field was NOT a part of the tax levy that built the new school at Gallia Academy.
