The only other thing I know is that he's been a junior high coach at John Glenn the past couple of years.

Was the 7th grade coach at JG this past year. I believe he was also an assistant football coach at Eastern for a few years, and a basketball assistant at Trimble at some point.91raider97bobcat wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 10:04 amThe only other thing I know is that he's been a junior high coach at John Glenn the past couple of years.

Any news on the Eastern job? It’s getting really close to summer ball starting and I would think they’ve hired someone by now.

I hear they only had five applicants and three were parents. And my source says it’s one of the parents. Did’t have any teaching jobs to go with it so pretty limited.Billy T Kid wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 8:00 pm Any news on the Eastern job? Re: Coaching Openings
Fitch was definitely a solid coach at Ironton. Should never have been let go. Theres your politics. PitifulTigerBob wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2024 4:26 pmFitch was certainly solid when he was at Ironton and would be a fine choice, but it Combs wants it he’s your guy. Probably the best program in the district over the last decade when you consider everything. Warren might be better, but that’s probably it as far as consistency, and at a place without worlds of talent walking the halls every year.SoutheastHoopsWizard wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2024 3:09 pmMLittle with the inside scoop?
I was told Fitch did not apply when asked which surprised me. Excellent coach with solid teams year after year. I have not heard Miller's name mentioned but he is also solid and from there. I believe Miller has a stacked girls squad for the foreseeable future??? Would he want to change to boys??? The U appears to have some great options that many schools do not have. However, I will be shocked if Combs is not the next coach and was likely hired with that in mind.
If we know anything in the Southeast, politics can produce some strange decisions.
Time will tell.
Re: Coaching Openings
Coach Skinner is out at Alexander, I'm not sure who took his HC position at Alex ... I only heard this at the Warren Shootout when the WHS staff said that Alexander had backed out of the shootout ...

Thanks Fletchlives ... so we have Jeremy Hill going from Meigs to Alexander replacing Coach Skinner ... Ryan Davis from Bloom Carrol to take the open position at Meigs vacated by Hill ...

Yes. An assistant position was posted at Alexander and Jordan hill was listed as the head coach.
