Yup. Burg says they have superior coaching & culture and they have a larger enrollment.

Not a fan of the AD being a coach. Hope it works out.Top Gun wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 2:22 pmEspecially since Woodward was named the new assistant principal and AD to replace Shaw. If woodard gets his boots smoked by Pendleton again will the new AD pull the trigger and begin the trasition period that is swiftly approaching for the old and rapidly getting older burg staff?
Maybe a change is best.
Anything possible but I look for the new AD to be an in house guy so probably wouldn't make that big of a move in his first year.

You're making yourselves look silly. By any reasonable standard, Ironton has a better football history/program/tradition than you. There's no more relevant measure, IMO, than head-to-head competition. And we've pretty much owned you. Take away the Vass years & it's even more lopsided. Plus, what if you had played us through the 70s & all the 80s ? You wouldn't have won a single time. Instead, you beat up on the likes of East, Notre Dame & the like.
Burg shouldnt even be mentioned in the same breath as Ironton in football. Little sis is soft.
Typical burg. Forced to divert cause burg football has fell off.yabbadabbadoo wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2024 11:47 am522Pirate wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 10:40 am2 titles in 118 seasons? You guys are world beatersTri_State79 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 10:36 am

How many total titles, meaning in all sports does Ironton even have? Isn't it only 3 or 4? 2 in football and 1-2 in golf maybe.
Burg has the 2 in football. 3 in baseball. 3 in softball and around 10 individual titles in boys and girls track.
2 sport recruit that had illegal contact with burg coaches.Larry Fine wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 8:53 pmLattimore ?fbnut wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 8:01 pmexcept for the recruitingTigerBlood00 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 6:31 pm

I know Greenup's coach became an assistant principal a few years ago and was allowed to coach one more season and that was it. May be a similar situation. Then again, every school is different. Rock Hill allows principals to coach, and I am pretty sure Coal Grove does too. Fairland's Cunningham was a principal while also being football coach. I guess it depends on the district. Personally I see no issue as long asTop Gun wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 2:22 pmEspecially since Woodward was named the new assistant principal and AD to replace Shaw. 1) there's no self-recommendation for re-hire (the recommendation comes from the next up of the chain of command).
2) they are able to perform both positions to the best of their ability.
3) administrator job comes first.
Insert any administrator to be honest. But both apply here.TigerBlood00 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2024 2:38 pmOVC wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2024 12:12 pmI know Greenup's coach became an assistant principal a few years ago and was allowed to coach one more season and that was it. Ok. I didn't know Woodard was also the Ad & Vice. That's sounds wild. I think many fans on this site of his school criticized the fact that Irontons HC is also AD. Was there a lot of criticism of this decision in the fan base? Surely they were consistent yes?OVC wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2024 5:09 pmStraight from the post I quoted:TigerBlood00 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 11, 2024 4:52 pmHow does principal apply per the convo?
