Post by ohbuckeye2 »

Congratulations to the Fighting Tigers on winning West Virginia Universities Beasts of the East 7 vs 7. The field consisted of 32 teams. Keep up the hard work, the season is just around the corner. The next 7 vs 7 is at Ironton.

Huge accomplishment to say the least, Ironton went up against top tier D1 programs. Ironton’s under classmen stepped up and had some big games. Every skill group played phenomenal, QB, WRs, LBs and DBs all contributed in an overall team championship. Kaskey and Trevon worked great together calling plays.

Word is he has never had such a hard working group with that much talent at his previous destination. An embarasament of riches on that Fighting Tiger offense.

Kaskey has Terry and Graves and Edwards and Williams and Markell and Shreck - just to name a FEW offensive weapons on that team. He must feel like he has 4 or 5 kids better than Holden at Burg back in the day. The cupboard is LOADED. 👀

Both Ironton QB's have looked tremendous.

Read that they had beaten Aliquippa who is a dominant program in Western PA. Hopefully all this 7v7 2 hand touch stuff hype lives up to in real games

Holden was D5 offensive player of the year when Burg won state, and you are claiming Ironton will have the top 4-5 offensive players in D5? Wow.

So your prediction is that Ironton’s state title is a foregone conclusion and playing out the games is just a formality?

Shaun "Homegrown" Terry is simply a much higher rated recruit and talent than Holden. 🤷‍♂️

He’s just one. You said 4-5 are better than Holden.

Since you are claiming Ironton has 4-5 potential D5 player of the year award winners, I assume the state title is a done deal?

Or do you not trust that Pendleton can bring home the title despite having the 4-5 best offensive players in D5?

Terry not home grown, but it’s hard to compare two different types of players. Holden was great. Terry is too. But they are two different types of recruits. Terry more shifty, Holden was more downhill and a lot stronger.

Terry is not a home grown Ironton kid? When did he “transfer” in?

No I’m saying he is a huge hire for I Town. The chances of winning a state title are not very good .

We agree on Kaskey. Obviously no guarantee that he can win them a state title but smart move on Ironton’s part to shake things up on the O side.

Believe he has ties to Huntington but not too sure exactly when he went to Ironton
