Any evidence or is this the same slanderous stuff burg fans on this sit perpetrate against high school kids that transfer while 89% of their own roster is living in portsmouth, south web and haverhill?

That’s priceless, CB numbers meant nothing the last several years when Burgs was the same or close to Irontons. Sounds like some of the kids are going back to the schools they were supposed to be going to, now the Burgs number dropped someRBH23 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2024 7:51 pmBurg’s CB is only 13. As a percentage of their team, they have a very low CB compared to IHS and other schools in the SOC.

Re: 2024 Wheelersburg Pirates
Are you serious? All Ironton fans want to talk about is Burg’s CB number. You are obsessed over it.ohbuckeye2 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 9:03 pmThat’s priceless, CB numbers meant nothing the last several years when Burgs was the same or close to Irontons. Within the SOC, Burg CB is middle of the pack. As a percentage of their roster, it is low. Valley and Oak Hill have the highest CB numbers and the highest as a percent of roster. Minford, West, and Burg are close in total numbers but Burg is much lower as a percentage of their team. Northwest has the lowest total and %.
Btw, Ironton’s CB, which doesn’t include the transfers, is nearly double Burg’s. So when are those kids going back to the schools where they belong?
Re: 2024 Wheelersburg Pirates
Not much talk for this time of yr. I guess that’s what happens when the community loses their excitement for the program when you keep losing to the same programs every yr.

It’s June, yet this thread still has over 540 posts. That’s quite a bit of talk.
Re: 2024 Wheelersburg Pirates
Yeah but it’s basically you and a bunch of ironton fans rubbing in their dominance over us. Not much excitement from burg fans. The losses to Ironton, Jackson and prep every yr are starting to wear on the program and community

Why can't burgs HC figure out how to beat Ironton, Jackson and Prep? Is it coaching that is lacking or is it talent?
Re: 2024 Wheelersburg Pirates
With regards to Ironton, they have done a fantastic job bringing in additional talent. Without said talent, the results would be substantially different.TigerBlood00 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2024 12:02 pmWhy can't burgs HC figure out how to beat Ironton, Jackson and Prep? So its not the coaching at burg then? THAT remains "superior" which means you are dancing around wanting to say that burgs talent ( even with that larger enrollment) just doesnt seem to get it done vs Ironton, Jackson, and Prep?RBH23 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2024 1:47 pmWith regards to Ironton, they have done a fantastic job bringing in additional talent. Re: 2024 Wheelersburg Pirates
What I’m saying is that Burg remains the same team they have always been based on coaching and talent. Maybe slightly below historical averages, but much of that has to do with not having a dual threat QB since Salyers which is a must for their offense; Rucker hopefully changes that.TigerBlood00 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2024 1:55 pmSo its not the coaching at burg then? Ironton, on the other hand, has improved dramatically under Pendleton thanks to his recruiting efforts. They are simply bringing in an entire all star team. Send back all of the kids that have been brought in during his tenure, and Ironton would be lucky to have even one regional title.
Hopefully that answers your question

So basically ya sayin burg just isnt very talented even though they have a larger enrollment, and "superior coaching & culture", right?
Re: 2024 Wheelersburg Pirates
Compared to Ironton’s “transfers”? Absolutely not. No D5 school is, hence Ironton’s slogan “doing less with more since 1989!”TigerBlood00 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2024 5:31 pmRBH23 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2024 5:13 pmWhat I’m saying is that Burg remains the same team they have always been based on coaching and talent. Burg can't beat homegrown Jackson either. Why not?RBH23 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2024 5:56 pmCompared to Ironton’s “transfers”? Absolutely not. No D5 school is, hence Ironton’s slogan “doing less with more since 1989!”TigerBlood00 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2024 5:31 pmRBH23 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2024 5:13 pm

Now since we are asking questions, why has Ironton been unable to win a state title since 1989? That’s a long time for a school that’s supposedly a football power. Is it coaching or talent?

Re: 2024 Wheelersburg Pirates
So burgs superior coaching struggles to adjust and maximize their offense based on recognizing the skill sets of their talent and then creating a game plan accordingly? If theres no dual threat qb1 then they just struggle?RBH23 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2024 7:05 pmI’ll repeat it one more time:

Re: 2024 Wheelersburg Pirates
Regional runner up two of the past three years (1-0 against IHS in the playoffs during that time) is struggling? LOL! Goes to show how impressive the Burg program has been.TigerBlood00 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2024 7:28 pmSo burgs superior coaching struggles to adjust and maximize their offense based on recognizing the skill sets of their talent and then creating a game plan accordingly? As for Ironton, will their trend of doing less with more continue in 2024?

Who cares. Thats called using all tools available. Why aren't all the other schools doing the same? Guess they are ok with mediocrity .RBH23 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2024 1:47 pmWith regards to Ironton, they have done a fantastic job bringing in additional talent.
