Last year, there was a post about Burg coaching that got more posts from Jackson fans than posts specifically about Jackson football. Same is true with any threads about Ironton.

I agree, but tell that to some of the Jackson folk. Went around and around with a number of them last year over the offense that Burg was running. Oddly, they were defending the Burg coaches while a number of the Burg posters were questioning the play calling. This discussion dwarfed the Jackson game discussion.Jackson Football wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 3:52 pmJackson fans don’t need to engage in this nonsense. Even if they wanted to they don't attract the eyes and attention that Ironton and Burg threads attract without even trying. Not even close. When it comes to seo high school football, & this site, an old sayin by the Nature Boy Ric Flair comes to mind.Jackson Football wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 3:52 pmJackson fans don’t need to engage in this nonsense. Harvest prep or Barnesville wins the region. Wheelersburg will be in the top 5. Irontons schedule is brutal so I expect them to be 7 or 8 seed possibly on the road game 1. And that’s not knocking them at all it’s the schedule they have. Portsmouth should see a home game. Valley is not good, greenup will not be good and the ovc for the most part is not good. But they will need points and will south point, peake, rock hill give many secondary points. I can’t wait till season starts to see how it all ends up.

Ironton & Prep will be the two favorites and will likely also have the strongest strength of schedules in region 19.gobucs20 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2024 10:00 amHp definitely. They are going to put a running clock on every team while cruising to an overwhelming victory in the state title!

This is Ironton's Region to lose to much talent and depth.
Yes they have a very tough schedule but they will be game tested I can see them going 7-3 this year but still hosting a playoff game or 2.
I know you can't put much stock in these 7 on 7 tournaments but they do help with QB and receiver timing and connections.
Burg game will be a test for Ironton but I believe Ironton wins Jackson will be a tough one but Ironton wins that game to.
Cabell Midland lost a lot of talent and has a new coach I can see a Ironton win there.
Buffalo St. Francis I do not know enough about so I can't speak on them.
Bishop Hartly will be a tough game but winnable of they play with out mistakes.
Clarkson North Canada is a no point game but they are huge, winnable of course but most likely a loss.
Pikeville is a huge game toss up but I believe Ironton wins this.
Fairland ,Gallia and Portsmouth round it Ironton wins all 3.
A 7-3 record most likely but a 8-2 record is possible and 2 home games in the playoffs

Harvest Prep’s region to lose. They likely see Ironton or Wheelersburg in the regional final, based on alignments in the brackets. I can’t see anyone else challenging these three giants. All three have challenging schedules, so it’s possible that none of them are the #1 seed, but everyone knows.

If they don’t do it this year then they may never do it.
To much talent on this team to not compete for the state

If they don't win it this year I believe Pendleton is gone. He's already tried to leave by applying for the Moeller job last year. It looks like he wants to go to a big D1 school and can't say I blame him for that. My guess is he wants to coach at the college level someday and can't blame him for that as well.

Even if Pendleton leaves his brother is waiting in the waiting mugs to take over and Ironton is putting together a coaching staff that is built for them to win.yabbadabbadoo wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2024 7:45 am If they don't win it this year I believe Pendleton is gone. Pendleton is a good Defensive coach offensive he his not there yet but bringing in a coach for the QBs and offense is a big step in the right direction

Burgs fan base on seops has been reduced to hoping Pendleton leaves cause Ironton beats burg like a drum
Re: D5 R19
I think the hire of Kaskey was a smart move on IHS’ part. Didn’t always agree with how he called games at Burg, but overall, he did a good job and could help IHS in this department. But he did have a tendency to fall in love with the pass at Burg; although that remains a problem at Burg so maybe wasn’t his decision.fielddaddy wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2024 8:18 amEven if Pendleton leaves his brother is waiting in the waiting mugs to take over and Ironton is putting together a coaching staff that is built for them to win.yabbadabbadoo wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2024 7:45 am If they don't win it this year I believe Pendleton is gone.
