I mean were playin ball in about a month huh?
And burg is like around 1 - 9 vs Ironton Jackson & Prep combined over about the last 3 seasons. In one of those last 3 seasons burg failed to stop P West from winning their conference. Just a couple weeks later Ironton thumped West. Idk what 1989 or 2017 have to do with right now for either program? Does 1989 and 2017 play a position on the field? Do they coach?
Burg has a losing streak vs Jackson
Ironton has a streak of wins vs Jackson
Harvest Prep and Ironton = 1 and 1
Burg is what now 0 and 4 or 0 and 5 vs Harvest Prep?
Is 2017 gonna walk thru the door for burg week 1?
Is 1989 going to for Ironton?
But yet, burg fans keep yammerin on it because the present is not as dominant for burg. Their best days as a program seems to be passing them by at least as it concernes the present regime. Ironton had to go through some down seasons which gave burg a few years as the spotlight in the region. But those days are gone. Burgs fans now remind me of older Ironton fans during that down turn for Ironton post Lutz & pre Pendelton. I kinda get ya fixation on the past. And on PAST state titles. But none of that is a present variable. Burg fans talk ALOT about how their culture & coaching & how it is so called superior but over the last few seasons there isn't much to support that. I'm not gonna base any recent trends off 2017 or 1989. I base what I am saying off what I see in front of me and with burg I see a program that had a tight window where they were the darlings and powerhouse of seo and had a "spotlight" on them & then Ironton had a resurgence under Pendleton & simply outperformed Wheelersburg. They are presently outperforming burg. So is Jackson. So is Harvest Prep. And like I mentioned earlier West is but a season removed from spankin burg and taking the conference from them only to turn right around and get thumped by Ironton. I sure hope 2017 shows up for burg week one. lol. Maybe Holden has another year of eligibility left you can finesse? Pretty exciting he would be like the 2nd or 3rd best WR in the game that night behind a couple Ironton receivers if he could huh? I don't think Ironton is bringing 1989 with em. I don't think they need it.

You make assessments based on RECENT results/trends and presently burg is just consistently underwhelming vs the big 3 on their schedule. You can deflect or dilute alllll ya want. Maybe it helps ya reconcile the facts. No amout of intellectual dishonesty is gonna change the facts. And on week 1 the point gets driven home yet again on burgs own field. Get use to it
LOL, so now you want to use the word "RECENT" here's the definition by the way: having happened, begun, or been done not long ago or not long before; belonging to a past period of time comparatively close to the present. So here you are trying to justify your post about complaining about the past by talking about the past YET AGAIN. I mean I get it, you just got you a user name in May, probably the daddy of one of the transfers now you've looked up some stats not knowing ANYTHING about the games. I won't talk about the past though seems like you offer nothing to a conversation about the 2024 team so maybe you simply haven't sat in your chair around the tank long enough to learn yet. Keep talking about the past man, you've literally littered the message boards with nothing but that. Also if you truly want to know I'm not a fan of Burg or Ironton I simply embrace most of the area and try and learn as much about each team as possible. So trying a burg bash on me simply isn't going to work because I'm not a burg guy and I have no issues with them either. It's 2024 and you're up maybe you can talk about the great 7-7s Ironton has played in thus far,

2017 is approaching 8 yrs ago. Soon to be a decade.
1989 is a lifetime ago.
So neither of these dates are considerable when analyzing Ironton/burg NOW present day. What is more relevant however is the trends over the past 2 or 3 seasons because the time proximity offers us a way more accurate perception. I know you southern ohio hayseeds are slower than most. Trust me I know lol. BUT... I know ya not THAT slow even if age is starting to deteriorate ya mental acuity. And over about the last 3 seasons, Wheelersburg is around 1 and 9 vs Ironton, Jackson and Harvest Prep combined. A fanbase consistently on this site yappin about "superior coaching and culture" but going 1 and 9 over the last 3 seasons vs the big three on their schedule are just yappin about something that either NEVER really existed or just doesn't exist anymore. Living off the fumes of a season almost a decade old hoping and praying 2017 strolls into The Ed and saves em from another week 1 L and growing that combined record over the last 3 seasons vs the big 3 on their schedule to 1 and 10. Almost prophetic that would happen in The Ed since Ed didnt want NO PARTS of Ironton kinda like how Woodards boys don't either. 😂 Burgs most likely favored to lose to Jackson and Prep again also. Thats who burg is now. 🤷‍♂️

Care to place a wager on that?

Btw, if this game is close or Burg pulls the upset, some IHS fans will need placed on suicide watch.

You do realize you keep yammering on about Burgs record vs this team or that team and now you're going on and on about Burgs record yet again against teams in the past. All the while you're bashing ppl for talking about teams of the past, and yet you keep bringing up past records left and right WAY more than anyone I've seen. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black, if you want to talk about the 2024 teams maybe you should do that and shut up about the teams of the past especially if you're tired of hiring Burg talk about teams of the past. WOW, I mean really do you have a clue?? I mean you're rocking and rolling with stats from the past all over this ENTIRE post, talk 2024 and move on dude you seem to be the one caught up in it all. You and those Varsity Blues parents sitting around the tank or what

Nice try , other way around , If Woodward can’t beat Ironton this year or next the Burg fan base will melt down.

You are the only Ironton fan not predicting a running clock, so yes, Ironton fans will freak out if this game is close. That will mean another year of underperforming.

As for Burg fans, we don’t drink the kool-aid like a Ironton fans do. We know when we have a contending team, and we know when we are young.

Take the past two years: IHS fans on the site predicting running clocks while Burg fans realized Burg was the underdog but felt Burg would make a game of it. Which fan base was right?

You judge our whole fan base on a few posters ? We don’t judge your fan base on you and Wobycat. We know both teams hope to be D5 title contenders and this game , especially week 1 , is always close and seems to be a grind for both teams. I would expect at some point Wheelersburg to beat us.

I base it on those that post. Last few years, most were on here talking about how IHS was going to run Burg off the field.

So far this year, it’s only been about 3-4 posters saying it. Expect more to chime in with the running clock as we get closer to game time.

As for the Ironton folk that I know personally, they are very reasonable and realistic. They just don’t post on this site.

Peep this. 🏃‍♂️🔥 💨 🕑 👈👀🐅😂
