As for Burg fans, we don’t drink the kool-aid like a Ironton fans do. We know when we have a contending team, and we know when we are young.

You judge our whole fan base on a few posters ? We don’t judge your fan base on you and Wobycat. We know both teams hope to be D5 title contenders and this game , especially week 1 , is always close and seems to be a grind for both teams. I would expect at some point Wheelersburg to beat us.
I base it on those that post. Last few years, most were on here talking about how IHS was going to run Burg off the field.

So far this year, it’s only been about 3-4 posters saying it. Expect more to chime in with the running clock as we get closer to game time.

As for the Ironton folk that I know personally, they are very reasonable and realistic. They just don’t post on this site.
& every day burg fans on this site post about burgs superior coaching & culture and YET burg is 1 and 9 vs the big 3 on their schedule over last 3 seasons combined.

Superior must mean something else in scioto co. 😂🤷‍♂️

Just checked out the Ironton football Facebook page. Looked like a lot of positive comments. Although I didn’t check out every post, those I quickly glanced looked very positive. Didn’t see anything similar to what’s posted here.

Is there a specific Facebook post with such comments? Curious who from Burg is commenting.

You claim you can read well but somehow miss what’s been said many times.

I’ve stated over and over that IHS is the better team and should be favored. However being the first game of the year, this could be a sloppy performance by both teams with the team making the fewest mistakes winning.

Now did you get it this time, or should I repeat myself once again?

So lemme get this straight.

The "homegrown" burg assertion is a cpl transfers from the area for Ironton is all it takes to overwhelm burgs superior coaching, culture, and enrollment huh? 😂😂 If thats all it takes kinda seems like all that burg yap about coaching and culture is fugazi. How superior when folds so easily? 😂

1 and 9 vs the big 3 on burgs schedule over last 3 seasons combined. lol

SOMEBODY is not being intellectually honest about why and how and who burg is now. lol
If there was ANY truth to superior coaching and culture burg wouldnt be 1 and 9 vs the 3 best teams on their schedule over the last 3 seasons and could dominate somebody besides northwest or valley. 😂

A couple transfers? Well let’s consider this “couple:
- Salyers
- Masters
- Keyes
- Keyes’ cousin
- Perkins
- Thacker
- Pittman
- Copas
- Terry
- Felder

That’s an all-star team, and it’s not even the complete list.

Despite this all-star team addition, the series sits at 4-2 since Pendleton with the last two games decided by 9 and 3 points.

And in your mind, this is “domination?” LMAO!! My how standards at Ironton have changed so since the last state title! But that fits the new motto “doing less with more since 1989.”

It just shows how dumb both of you are for actually still going back & forth on the dumb poop. Both of your schools recruit, both of your schools win, both are standards of seo football, both are annoying. Those are facts, 1989, 2017, 2024 who gives a poop. Talk some ball morons

Are you still talking about the past?? Do you not remember your entire rant about Burg talking about the past and yet here you are once again with PAST talk. I mean I know you guys just got moved into Ironton so you probably really don't know much about anything other than looking at joeeitel and looking up scores. Just keep this in mind in terms of the most how did you say "RECENT" games Ironton was sitting at home watching Burg play in the most "recent" outcomes. You go ahead and post about the past buddy seems like all you're good for thanks for giving information everyone can find out you know like Ironton's last 2 state championship games have been complete blowouts, 53 points to South Range?? I mean those great 7-7 teams Ironton had that year gave up over 300 yards passing and over 550 yards of offense, Ironton got to yet another big game and couldn't run the ball against a good team 21 rushes 47 yards?? MAN OH MAN and let's not forget the running clock against Kirtland. Against HP last year that juggernaut of a offense rushed to the tune of 101 yards against HP for 2.9 yards a rush, in high school?? DANG. That's enough past for me was hoping to sum it up for you.

As for week 1 given we haven't seen any scrimmages, have no idea if either team gets hit with early injuries I'll give the nod to Ironton by 2 scores as we sit here in July anyways. Only reason I'm going with 2 scores is because I have no idea what Burgs offense is going to look like this year after the scrimmages everyone will have a better idea of what Burg is going to try and do this year. Burg has some talent in that junior class

You’re correct about the back and forth.

However, if you are going to accuse Burg of recruiting, bring some proof to the party. 1989 Burg had closed borders and zero transfers. 2017 Burg had a whopping one transfer. Going into 2024, Burg has a CB of 13 and zero transfers; actually have some kids who have transferred out.

Now that we’ve gotten the facts ironed out, let’s talk some ball. Anything you want to bring to the discussion besides false facts and name calling?

Yes, as you can see from my above post I'm curious with the type of offense Burg is going to try and run this year. I'm assuming Rucker is still going to be the starting QB and they've got 2-3 guys on the outside but is he capable of getting them the ball?? I just don't think a team from this area can keep running the wildcat and be successful as you get deeper in the playoffs which was proven against HP last year.
