Video shows 24 punching a portsmouth player in the back of the head after the start of the play causing him to fall in his route, looked like Cameron williams, Portsmouth's freshman quarterback last season who was hit. Then receiver for portsmouth tossed the ball at the face of an Ironton defender which sparked the fight. All happening in the same play by the way.

There was nothing posted by Ironton Football claiming any of the stuff you said. I just looked. Friends of mine said Ironton JV played all the pool play games against CG, Peake, Rock Hill and Fairland and won. Then the Varsity played the tournament.

Now am I misreading that somehow?? Because the way that reads and that is 100% copied from The Ironton FIghting Tigers Facebook page that's how I read it, if you can clarify sounds good maybe I'm misunderstanding it somehow.

The refs let these games get out of hand. The rock hill and south point game was ridiculous. They were legit taking cheap shots at each other and the refs never said a word or warned anyone. RH played Ironton after they beat SP and it carried over to that game. The trash talk and taunting continued even in the Championship game with Ironton and Portsmouth. Portsmouth started the fight with Ironton by throwing the ball at a player after a catch. Some shoving occurred and then everyone was trying to break it up. The announcer then said this game is over with under a minute to go. The end

It’s not just this one play though. The play before 24 Williams for Ironton pushed a Portsmouth kid down well out of bounds, he got knicked up on that. The next play the one in question you can see him push the same Portsmouth kid down from behind by the back of the head, also on the same play 15 for Ironton is seen tackling a different Portsmouth player by the head. Yes the Portsmouth player visibly frustrated tossed the ball at the Ironton player (not very hard) and it broke loose from there. 24 for Ironton can be seen throwing punches in said video. This garbage was occurring all night and not being stopped by the refs from what I’m told.

The only thing visibly cheap or illegal is the portsmouth player throwing the ball at the Ironton player.

Only thing I noticed in the video is Ironton beat up portsmouth in the game and then when portsmouth decided to let their balls drop, Ironton beat em up on the field again.

Only thing illegal that occured before the fight is the portsmouth player throwin the ball at the Ironton player which infact is the first illegal act that started the fight. The 2nd illegal action after the ball being thrown by the trojan player is yet more illegal contact by portsmouth. And then Ironton responded.

This is what everyone is complaining about!? Lol! This is all normal 7v7 behavior. Usually the most aggressive team wins. This goes on at every 7v7 event especially when a big city or college hosts. Majority of the time they get cut short because of situations like this. If Portsmouth is really that upset over a 7v7 game they need to be ready to play week 10. I promise you ironton has moved on and is already preparing for burg and could care less about any 7v7 game or using it for fuel in week 10
