Ohio House Bill 147 Ticket Prices
I believe Gov Dewine has signed it already, but it would:
1. Limit ticket prices.
2. Cash price and online price must be the same.
3. Student tickets must be cheaper than adult prices.
I am all good with the first two points.
I am interested in point three here, some schools already do this but some charge $5 a person no matter the age. For those schools, are they going to lower student prices only, or for example, a student is now $4 and adult $6 so it equalizes back to $10.
Thoughts?

I like all three. I will pay an extra buck for the kids. I personally think your own students should get in free to all your athletic events

A lot of schools get businesses to sponsor the students getting in for free. Rock Hill did a couple years back.
Contemplating all life choices and loyalties…

All Jackson students get in free to every sporting event.
Coaches got together with local businesses and sponsors to make it happen.

I figured charging to park took care of that

Most expensive game to go to for sure. Bball game last year cost more than tourney games
Re: Ohio House Bill 147 Ticket Prices
I've heard of schools where kids get in free and the boosters take care of it.
Re: Ohio House Bill 147 Ticket Prices
This sounds like a great plan, but is it really a great plan? If you host a playoff game doesn't ohsaa decide what the ticket prices are? Let's say it is 10$ a ticket, and a student ticket is 9$... They met the criteria but it's not that great of a deal. Student tickets should at least be half the price of an adult ticket. Ohsaa will figure out a way to screw us fans, they have in the past...lol
Re: Ohio House Bill 147 Ticket Prices
Just telling you how it works. So your school can do it without paying to park.
Re: Ohio House Bill 147 Ticket Prices
We give a free livestream to every game. The parking volunteers for their sports programs have enough people getting after them.
Re: Ohio House Bill 147 Ticket Prices
Appreciate that thanks

Is this going to be OVC guideline? I was told Gallia posted the same on their Facebook page. Anyone have confirmation?

Waverly still charges to park. But let's all the teachers and bus drivers in free. Makes the kids pay full price.
