Turn on the youtube so you can see for yourself. You owe it to yourself to see what happens when a team loses good players and good...jk.. GREAT coaching.

Shoutout to the Tolers!

Team has to improve a lot in a week. Having a head coach that has never been a coordinator tells me they probably aren’t going to get to where they need to be fast enough.

There is talent there and kids seem to be working hard but this team looks a lot more like teams after coach Bart left and before coach Penrod came back. Potential, athletic but not a cohesive unit at least not yet

Gallipolis needs to get behind a coach and actually support him and the program. Too much tradition here for there to be a constant revolving door of coaches.

Instead, GA has parents of kids that couldn't play at the GDC (Gallipolis Developmental Center) spearheading firing efforts.

Same parents have a hard time telling the difference between their 5'6-5'11' kids and Isaac Clary.

"Coach dun screwed my boi or he was goin to da league"-- Average GA parent

Going up to Bartrums Paradise tonight… going to be interesting how the academy handles adversity. Some of the posters on this thread forget that kids play this game and that it’s our job to support and lead them the best that we know how.

Gallia has a tendency to run off coaches, such as Wade Bartholomew, Coach Penrod, and now Coach Carter. A very troubling trend to say the least, we’ll have to see who’s next to be wrote off.
Coach Carter was accused of mistreatment of players, which resulted in multiple board meetings over the matter. It was only one family who testified, a family that often gets their way in every sport and has lots of power in the county. It is no surprise that Carter left, and it’s hard to blame him for doing so. The high expectations and mediocre support is a lot to deal with.
Did Coach Carter lock up the field and make his team meet in the library until everyone had passing grades

I think people should watch using word ran off. Coach Bartholomew was definitely not ran off. I am a huge coach Penrod guy I liked his style. But also know his priorities had kind of changed with his family and how much time he wanted to spend coaching. And I agree cole Carter might of been kind of ran out of town… but I also know that he had talked to people about moving back to a bigger city like in September or October last year so how long do you think he was really going to stay? But it is what it is.

WOW! Carter definitely knew when to jump ship. Ran it in the ground quickly and cut and ran outta town.

I hate to say this but the guy that said Meigs by 2 TDs was right!
Carter definitely did what was best for him and his family. Wish he would’ve been given an opportunity to stay.
Onward to the next game blue devils!

Fell bad for GA. Maybe some kids will move this way and flesh out our JV team.

Please tell your timeline of events. I've seen divorces and murder trials with the death penalty end sooner.

Unfortunately Coach Carter wasn’t supported by higher ups in the county… the community held rally’s at board meetings for his return but Coach Carter saw the writing on the wall. He then moved on.
