Trace 35-12 sounds likely. Panthers one of the 5 best teams in the SEOP footprint and Waverly seems to have a never ending struggle to find a way to control the line of scrimmage.

MT should take this one by 3 scores, Waverly can keep it closer if they can protect the QB and let the 2 big WRs get open but I don't believe this young line for Waverly is ready for MT.

Waverly may be a lot better than most of us anticipated.*

Never sleep on Coach Crabtree. He knows how to run a program and he knows how to win.

Congrats to the Tigers on a huge win, MT has some very lofty expectations and I’m guessing this is quite the wake up call. Next up ZT

From skimming the live stream, Waverly won on big plays by Kelly and Sword. A golden arm and speed. Special talents. Trace seemed to dominate the game outside a handful of plays. Waverly's line play held up enough for the win, but is a work in progress. The stats will be interesting.

Waverly lead throughout the entire game even going up 28-14 at one point

Sounds like one of those games where you have to wait 2-3 games potentially to see if MT was overrated or Waverly was undervalued.

I think Miami Trace will be fine, they missed some passes in the early going and never really seemed to get into a groove there, but I thought Hez Nelson did an outstanding job in coverage for Waverly.

MT moved the ball all night, but weren’t able to turn it into points consistently. Their defense was solid, but special teams were not. The two big kickoff returns by Swords was the difference in the game.

For Waverly, I thought Kelly looked much improved in the decision making category. The arm talent has always been there, but he took care of the ball and didn’t try to force anything that wasn’t there. The incompletions were never in question, just either his man was going to make a play or they just went to next play, nothing even close to being picked off.

The running game struggled, but they were able to control the clock and rely on their defense to hold the lead late.

I’d be shocked if Waverly doesn’t win at least 8 games this year, especially with ZT’s QB likely being out for a bit and making them totally one dimensional next week.

Good win for the Tigers and good luck to both squads moving forward.

I agree waverly should bare minimum go 8-2 with 2 toss up games that I assume don’t go their way ( wheelersburg and Mt.Healthy ) but I’ll second Hez Nelson was exceptional last night great win for the tigers.
