Ironton didn't either until they brought it in. Didn't the QB come from Ashland? Terry came from Portsmouth West and I know he did because had a juvenile court person in scioto county tell me he got pulled over as a 16 year when he lived there and Number 0 came from Huntington.

Burg needs to figure out a way to get these skilled kids to come to Burg. Curious as to how Ironton is doing it because it sure isn't those scholarships. Are any of those kids from the last few years, Perkins, Keyes and Felder and any others still even in school???
Are you asking if Schreck came from Ashland? If you are, I will bet literally any amount of money you can muster (which I’m assuming isn’t much) that he did not.
Biggs = QB is Missy Burchams son. Recognize that last name?

Terry isnt from west.

Burg fans are idiots. Find ya O line better nutrition habits. They are FAT and slow & SOFT.

The vast majority of Ironton’s team, at least the ones out there Friday, have gone to Ironton since they started school. A few more who haven’t have family who are Ironton people. Terry moved before his 9th grade year, not like he showed up last week. The only kid who is new was #0, and he wasn’t dominant in this game.

The “recruit” talk is mostly from Wheelersburg people who long for the days of 2013-2018 when Wheelersburg was at their peak as the dominant team in this part of the state and a contender for regional and state trophies on a yearly basis. It’s mostly two posters, one with solid info and one without. Either way it’s just whining about losing.

Wheelersburg’s coaches haven’t gotten worse. They just don’t have the players to do what they did in the past. The first half mostly went their way, they were a freak play from Terry away from being tied or close at the half. But they wore down. Wheelersburg people used to make fun of the endless cramps for Ironton. Now it’s the other way around. When you are getting physically beaten for 4 quarters, it wears on you. There is no amount of running that can prepare you for it.

Wheelersburg will “improve” as the schedule turns from Ironton and Jackson to Oak Hill and Northwest. But I don’t think anyone from Ironton would fear a regional rematch of this one.

LOL same o same o, there no reasoning same dance and song and as I see it and probably alot others goes in one ear and same stuff out the other ear. Like I say go to Head Coach tell him face to face what needs done and then go back to your job and let them do there job. Sounds fair to me and take all the others that think that way with you and everyone can get on same page.

I look forward to coming back to this thread later in the year and see how it went down. Is burg that down, or Ironton that much better? Schreck is as tall as that Ashland kid last year who started for Ironton, that’s the only similarities. I honestly thought shreck should have been QB 1 from the start.

By the way, everyone is chasing prep for the region. I’ve watched some of their last game. They brought in a
QB who can flat out sling it.

Was told behind the scene that this year’s team would be better than last year’s team, and that the O is where the improvement would be seen.

If the O improvements do not come to fruition as the season goes on (game one was a bad start), I most certainly will.

Btw, what world do you live where a program serious about winning accepts underperformance from their coaches? Burg didn’t become the fourth winningest program in the state by accepting mediocrity.

Burg is a lot better at gossiping about where high school kids live than they are at football. #softballschool

Not sure how good Pick Central is this year, but that was an impressive win to start the season. HP versus IHS should be a dandy.

Burg scheduled Harvest Prep because that was the only option they had to avoid an open date….. Hopefully that won’t continue after this season. McNicholas and Burg agreed to play again after neither could find another opponent for week two… Burg has won the last 2 in very close games. I can’t see the day when Ironton and Jackson are not on the schedule, regardless of the results over the last 5 seasons

Correct.

Burg has had IHS and Jackson on the schedule forever. Not going to change. One tough team outside the area has been the norm for a long time as well.

So Burg’s outside conference schedule is probably one game tougher than the past. However, the conference schedule is not nearly as tough. SOC has dropped off quite a bit.

If burgs AD and Coaches and kids want Ironton on the schedule why do old men whine about transfers so much? You don't think it's weird?

Why would "superior coaching, culture, and enrollment" RUN from a team in their own region & division?

Burg is SOFT.

Why would Burg let Kasey go to Ironton? He’s a heck of a OC and Burg just let him go to Ironton? Something seems up. Who pissed him off at Burg?

Do the names Craig Stamper, Tanner Wilson (football) Klaiber in softball and currently a Freeman for baseball ring a bell. All 4 came from Ironton during high school. Quit acting like you guys don’t get transfers. I’m pretty sure you have had some from other schools too

This guy @yabbadabbadoo just yaps. He has no clue what he is talking about and just says lies to make himself feel better. Or is just so far gone from reality he thinks what he says is the truth. The mods still let it slide though

The mods let everybody slide unless you are pro Ironton. Then they make up reasons to ban you.

Burg has taken a step back as a program and Ironton has taken many steps forward and this reality has resulted in many burg fans on seops being blatantly delusional and often vile and slanderous in their accusations without evidence. They are in full meltdown.
