Interesting take. So anyone that has a losing record against a team should never drop said team?

Not at all. What I’m saying is RV, who may have the lowest winning percentage in seo over the last 20 years has a winning record against Eastern Meigs. That’s probably why you are playing them. They’re obviously a good challenge for the Eagles throughout history. Plus a bigger school to boot. More playoff points for eastern when they beat them 33% of the time.

This has never been a regular series and the last time RV won was in 2017. We’ve played them only eight times this century. The last two years Eastern has won handily and RV has a total of three wins in those two seasons. When they go 0-10 there ain’t many playoff points to be had. We had a two year contract with them and we knew we were going to be really good and they were going to be bad so we should have not rescheduled them. We have one of if not the weakest schedules in D6 so why have them on there? Only one reason.

I was there at the game. I do believe the mentality has started to change at RV. No one has said that it would change overnight. This is still a team that was 0-10 last year and hasn't won a game since 2022. However, you can see the small changes taking place. It will take time.

As for the "getting throttled by a school 1/3 of its size"....a couple of things.

Eastern is a great team, period. They were last year and will continue to be this year. You cannot judge a change or any change in RV based on getting beat by a playoff team, regardless of division.

A 1/3 the size.....Eastern had 30 kids Friday night, RV had 29. Not sure we can judge these two schools on school size. Maybe team size?

But that is all just my opinion. Onto South Gallia this week for the Raiders!

Yeah and he’s miffed about that. Danged Hannah had to throw a wrench in the plans. But don’t be surprised if we don’t suddenly have a team worse than RV on there as a replacement. If not, coach gonna be only the second one to ever go 9-0, so that’s almost as good
