He’s replying based on the previous posts. Ironton is bragging about how they stifled burgs offense. He’s saying they don’t have any.

It is @ Jackson so I am assuming it will be streamed on here:
https://www.youtube.com/@jhsmedia9476
It'll for sure be streamed by Southern Ohio Sports Authority. Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/live/pd-aBJ_XZb ... sfK8l3wKOG

My opinion is Ironton is no better than 3rd best in Region 19. Harvest Prep , but my sleeper for maybe a state berth is Barnesville Shamrocks, they are a beast this year and Im picking them at least regional finals and maybe more. So when the dust settles Region 19 will not be decided by the southern Ohio Tigers. Even thou theyre heads above the teams down there, not the case else where in the region.

I’ll go with Ironton in this one but I believe it will be a close one looking at 24-17 score.
Jackson will grind it out but Ironton will break a few big plays.

Barnesville is very good but Ironton would beat them by 2 TDs this season. Wheelersburg and Barensville would be the good matchup. Harvest Prep is the best team in the region right now. Ironton is number 2.

I still think Jackson will run the ball between the tackles and shorten this game. Its going to be close with a turnover or special teams play making the difference.

We will revisit this post later in the year. I think this is the best Offense Ironton has ever had at this point in the season. To go into Ed Miller Stadium and beat Wheelersburg by running clock in first game is very impressive. They did it by not playing their best ball either. Meanwhile the Defense held Wheelersburg to 7 points and only 20 yds in 2nd half. That’s only the 2nd time Wheelersburg has been running clocked at home. The other time was Bishop Hartley around 2020.

X, you might be right but maybe Wheelersburg is not all that and you ended up beating a 5-5 team which doesnt say much. Time will tell on all the teams, But I beleive as of now Shamrocks will come out on top of Tigers IF they play. Tigers might get lucky draw and they play HP first.

I might be wrong but good luck to every team in Region 19, Harvest Prep is a different level team. everyone else fighting for runnerup in my opinion.

I don’t think Wheelersburg is all that. I actually believe Ironton is 7 TDs better than Wheelersburg on a neutral field. Barnesville struggles against the pass. Ironton is the best passing team in the region. I actually think Ironton beats HP this year. HP had a big win over Pick Central but it’s not the same Pick Central of old. Pick Central is way down and will likely lose quite a few games. Pick North gets all the football players in that area now. Central struggled to beat Lancaster last year. I think there’s a couple schools in SEO that would/could beat Lancaster on a yearly basis.

Did you watch the game vs Fort Frye?

I personally think Fort Frye is way down too. Only 28 kids in the program. Coach Huck softened the schedule cause he knew what was coming.

How can you say Ironton is the best passing team in region after 1 game. I would think after 7-8 games you can make that statement but after beating the Pirates, I wouldnt say that at the moment. Play some teams that match up to the Tigers first and see what happens.

The Cadets will probably go 9-1 or 8-2 this year and make a run in playoffs. They might have 28 players but they are tough hard nosed and very good players for Fort Frye. Just watch over the season.

They won 4 of 6 7 on 7 tournaments they entered. Those were against National Teams like at WVU. They have a D1 WR going to Missouri. They have 3-4 other WRs who can play and have D2 offers. They have 3 RBs who can catch the football. They can throw the football this year.

I don’t doubt that but they aren’t playing the schedule they were playing last couple of years. Barnesville absolutely crushed Caldwell last year in regular season and Caldwell made it to the Semi-Finals. Barnesville schedule does this no favors. They can go 10-0 and really have no chance of being the #1 Seed. Ironton can lose 2 games according to Drew Pasteur and possibly still be #1 seed.

Can they win the turnover battle, penaltys at crucial times, more hardnosed and want it more than other team, making right calls at critical times.

Didn’t Barnesville lose to Wheelersburg last year. Ironton beat Wheelersburg and brings back like 9 starters on both sides of the ball. While adding a freshman class that is now sophomores who many say could be best in school history when it’s all said and done.
