Shew. Not much quality without Ironton. Games are not really that watchable or interesting. I guess probably Fairland or Portsmouth. Not very many good healthy programs left in this conference. Most are dying or just not very talented. Kinda like SOC without burg would also be a snooze fest.

After only one game being played so far, just by the margin alone by how the Dragons were able to handle the Siders, I would probably have to pick the Dragons as the best. Looking forward to the Trojans vs Siders game this weekend. Not quite sure just how good that I think that the Trojans might be?

With the way Fairland handled West, I think they’re going to be the favorite to win the crown. Portsmouth did pull the upset in the playoffs last year against Fairland. The Portsmouth/West game this week should be interesting.

Gallia took a loss to Meigs, but I am unsure how they will be this season with a new coach. Rock Hill struggled with a bad Minford team in the second half. Coal Grove and South Point both got blown out by Kentucky schools. Chesapeake is at the end of the table but might be able to beat any of the other schools minus Gallia.

Fairland should win the OVC unless they can’t stay healthy. They are easily the best team. Skill guys are very solid they have a good QB. Very talented kids who have always won. They don’t have much depth and play 15 seniors. Wall-Smith-Graham-Hayden-Cremeans-Kitts -Callicoat all should be easy all league picks some of the best in the conference.

Portsmouth and Fairland are on a different level than the other 5 teams and it's not even close.

After week 1, Fairland looks like they could walk away with the OVC title fairly easy. Portsmouth and Portsmouth West are very similar teams in that neither have the ability to really threaten a team passing the ball. Fairland is the most well-rounded team in the conference
