Re: Valley at coal grove week 2
I agree with what has been stated multiple times in this thread. Coal Grove has a one dimensional offense, and if Valley can limit the run game, I don't think Coal Grove will be able to put up much. I think if this game becomes a passing war, Valley shouldn't have any problems. As long as they dont get themselves in trouble with penalties like they did against Portsmouth, I like the Indians here. 24-14 is my score prediction.

End of the 1st cg 6 valley 0. Valley is moving but still can’t block they are going to have to keep the rb in to help block or they will lose this game also.

Re: Valley at coal grove week 2
The main issue I saw with play calling was the timing with the snaps. Valley ran the ball for big gains and also had a couple big passes dropped. One was a sure fire TD. I didn’t think the calling was perfect or even that good but it certainly wasn’t that bad. Another tough hard fought loss for Valley.

Re: Valley at coal grove week 2
I was just thinking of this when reading through here. Coal Grove ran probably 4 or 5 types of plays tonight. The play calling wasn’t good there most of the night until a bust in the defense. Valley moved the ball, had a lead and had other chances. They just failed to bust them.
Re: Valley at coal grove week 2
I’m sure the Valley faithful, as well as the staff and team are definitely frustrated as they could and maybe should be 2-0, yet here they sit at 0-2.
Rest assured the kids and staff will keep pushing forward and keep working the mistakes they’ve seemed to routinely make(penalties, QB/C exchange) and get them corrected.
As tough as it is, you’ve got to put those behind you and keep truckin…as you’ve still got 4-5 winnable games on the schedule!
Keep pushing forward and getting better Indians.
