Week 3: Warren @ Logan
Week 3: Warren @ Logan
Been a close one the last several years. Warren had chances to win each time and found a way not to. I’m expecting a low scoring, physical game.

Warren coming off a win with Morgan. Should be an interesting game. Logan still has some problems especially in Red zone play calling.

Interesting game between 2 hard hitting physical programs with solid players.

Re: Week 3: Warren @ Logan
A matchup to watch is Warren’s receivers against Logan’s defensive backs. Warren has long, bigger bodied kids at receiver. Logan’s DBs, if I remember correctly, are on the smaller side. I think Warren will try to run the ball like they normally do, but this might be a game where some more shots down the field would be justified to take advantage of the size difference.
Either way, I expect this game to be a rock fight. 17-14, 20-17 type score, if they get that high. Both teams want to run the ball and be physical while doing it. Logan will be playing with some urgency at home going into OCC play. This is one of the tougher games on our schedule largely due to that. I’d call this game a coin flip.

Re: Week 3: Warren @ Logan
Great insight. Warren receivers vs Logan DBs will be a key matchup. It was in last year's game also and I think both teams bring back almost all those guys.beg003 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 9:11 pm A matchup to watch is Warren’s receivers against Logan’s defensive backs. Both teams want to be physical at the point of attack and Warren's defensive structure will give Logan some limitations in what it wants to do on offense (similar to Jackson).
Should be a really good one at The Chief on Friday night.

Good one here. If not for Athens and Marietta both being undefeated would have been my Game of the Week. I like the Warriors here...better athletes than Logan from what I've seen so far.
Re: Week 3: Warren @ Logan
This is a great post and spot on. Logan DBs will need to play better against bigger WR's and that will be key this week.beg003 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 9:11 pm A matchup to watch is Warren’s receivers against Logan’s defensive backs. Eric Carr led the way for Warren, carrying 24 times for 150 yards and two touchdowns last week. Jacob Sealey finished with 88 yards passing and 54 rushing,
Warren will look to run alot as well it seems based on last week.

Re: Week 3: Warren @ Logan
Carr is starting to come into his own as a player. 6’1” 195 and can really run when he gets loose. I don’t expect many long runs against Logan’s defense but he’s hard to catch in the open field. I’m looking for Sealey and Pepper to have big games.Logangrad wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 10:28 amThis is a great post and spot on. Re: Week 3: Warren @ Logan
Carr has a chance to be one of the greatest backs in Warren history. I saw it in him last year, and he's taken his game to another level this season.
As for this game at Logan. We always called it the purple palace when we played, but we knew it was going to be tough to leave there with a win. Logan was an SEOAL powerhouse back then. Theyre not the same program now, but I expect no different Friday night. I have a lot of respect for that program and I think it will be a tough physical game.

Is this still a "thing?"Ground Buck wrote: ↑Tue Sep 03, 2024 7:22 pm I read somewhere that much like Jackson, “Warren looks slow on film.” Therefore, I’m taking Logan to win by a score or three.

Warren was there; players never got to the field for pregame warmups though. Delays started around 530 or so, shortly after team had arrived.TRENCHFOOT wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 7:50 pm Did Warren come all that way, or was it postponed before they left?

Yea, I bet they're not happy about making four long, winding road trips on such a quick turn around.

Oh they took out their frustration. 17-7. Tough loss heading into the occ opener against Pickerington Central.
Re: Week 3: Warren @ Logan
Anyone have a recap? Wasn’t able to watch or follow the game. Good win for Warren.
