Gallia drove the field very well before the storm hit down, both run and pass. With the rain, Point was able to run the ball extremely well and scored. This one is gonna be good, especially without the rain to interfere tomorrow

Final 33-28 Point. Gallia came back and took the lead 28-27, point broke off a long run and got an interception on the final Gallia drive

Owen still intact. Will Gallia win a game this year? Coal Grove beat Meigs. Rock Hill just won again. No clue what Peake or South Point have. Fairland destroyed Point Pleasant. Portsmouth is probably the pick for second in the league.Bleacher92 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 7:40 pm Final 33-28 Point. Why is it that you almost sound happy that they lost? It’s your own school and until recently have been a pretty positive about the devils. This was hopefully a situation where the boys have started to turn the corner. Fought back from down multiple scores to take the lead, some big defensive stops. Yes they lost, but this wasn’t the same team we’ve seen the previous two weeks. They’re starting to figure it out a little bit. No try to build them up instead of tearing them down. Fans from other schools will do that, don’t need to do it to our own.MisterGalliaGuy2016 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 8:03 pmOwen still intact. Will Gallia win a game this year? Coal Grove beat Meigs. Yeah… how pathetic. A grown man- and alumni of GAHS, hating on his own team and a bunch of kids. Something is wrong with you!Bleacher92 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 8:13 pmWhy is it that you almost sound happy that they lost? Re: Gallia academy vs Point Pleasant
Make no mistake, I'm not happy about it by any means. I've said in previous posts that I genuinely feel bad for the kids losing like they are, because I vividly remember the toll it took on some of my buddies who were on the 1-9 teams of 2015 and 2016. Certain folks in the community got what they wanted and that's all that matters in Gallipolis. I'm hoping the powers that be don't run the new coach out of town the way they did Carter. As for me asking if they'll get a win this year, that's a serious question. There aren't any gimme wins on the schedule like South Point several years back when they were playing freshmen on Fridays just to field a team. River Valley isn't on the schedule anymore. I'm looking ahead and seeing a lot of tough games for a very young Blue Devil team.Bleacher92 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 07, 2024 8:13 pmWhy is it that you almost sound happy that they lost? I said at the beginning of the season that they'd have to take their lumps this year. So where are the wins on the schedule? Ironton just took Midland to the woodshed. Fairland is unbeaten and thrashed Point Pleasant. I'm not taking digs at anyone. Saying that this year's team isn't as good as last year's or the year before is just the truth. That happens when you lose a boatload of seniors, including your best backs, your best receivers, and most if not all of your line and secondary. Next year and the year after, this group of kids will be bigger, faster, stronger, and more experienced. They'll come out of this season better for it. And I'd say by the time this sophomore class is in their senior season, they'll be making a lot of opposing teams pay for this year, much like the 2018 team did.

Good luck to The Blue Devils, keep working. Hard work will eventually pay off.
