WOW! I'm a Wheelersburg fan but this may be Irontons year to finally hoist that trophy 🏆. Good luck the rest of the season. Until you play burg in the playoffs if they make it to you. Would love to see a local team win it all. People like to talk smack about Southern ohio not having the talent to win the big one's but we showed them in 2017. And Ironton may show them again in 24.

That midland team was awful. That or Ironton just had their night and played phenomenal. My only question is at qb. Never really took too many downfield shots but he didn’t have to he managed the game and it worked. I’d like to see 0 get some more touches but 24 is still a great back. Incorporate 33 as well and they’ve got a stable of people to tote the rock. Also can’t forget Terry it is astounding anytime he gets the ball you almost have to hold your breathe for what he can do

it wasn’t burg.. it was coal grove. beat a buffalo wayne team that won the wva AA tille. larry mccloud was on that buffalo team. ironton beat drippy by 4-5 tds and dupont won AAA title same year

Cabell Midland might be down. Maybe they are really down.

But 63-7 vs. a D1 team in Ohio? Wow!

cM def down.

New coach steps up from OC to HC.
The Number of Athletes are there, but their studs, who beat Ironton are gone.

I do think in both years turnovers were an impact. Ironton had 5 last year & it was the only reg season loss.

CM had so many this year, they were mentally defeated very quickly.

They had a couple good backs & players, but they’ve gottashape up fast.

All around great play mix & use of depth on run & short pass routes that went for long runs post completion.

Schreck will get that long pass completion % up.

I like the qb exchange with #7 Edwards in
As well. Great athlete.

Praying for health of ALL THE SQUAD the reemergence of #8 Johnson @ WR. Im mot sure what’s going on there, but hes a great WR!

Beat of luck CM.

Never dream Ironton would put such a hurt on CM I had them 35-14 in a win but never dreamed of a spanking like this.
Ironton seems to be improving every game which is a very good thing considering the games they have left going 8-2 is a real possibility maybe 9-1 or 10-0 if everything falls right for them.
next weeks game should be a measuring stick for them great win Tigers you are showing to be the real deal

St. Francis handed Benedictine their only loss of the year
23-17 @ Benedictine.

LAST YEAR: Benedictine defeated St. Francis 44-29 @ St.Francis.

Another thing we aren’t really talking about is after 3 games, Ironton has really cut down on penalties. Allowing them to sustain drives and not take away points.

The offense is very lethal. Defense still strong so far without D1 CB Josh Johnson. The new schedule will continue to test them and really let us see how real this teams chances are in the post season.

Few things.

Ironton plays much cleaner on both sides.
Ironton swarms and gang tackles aka Kirtland, Fort Frye etc.
Ironton is fast off the ball at the LOS on both sides.
Ironton is FAST... everywhere on the field both sides.
Ironton has too many weapons. If you double Terry... you pay for it.
Ironton can beat you w run and pass.
Ironton beats teams up with depth.
QB1 is a very patient smart qb who is a legit dual threat.
Irontons offense is patient and efficient and can now put solid drives together and does not have to rely on winning with only the big play.

Lastly, the best part about 3 and 0 is the opportunity to go 4 and 0. Go Tigers. This is a very good team.

Excuse after excuse. Ironton put a running clock on burg, jackson and midland. All good programs. Its never Ironton is just that good, its the other teams are just bad from some people. Put some respect on Ironton. They are just way more physical and better than any team they have played so far.

Cabell Midland had some nice individual players. Not sure about the new coach. That was a mauling.
