Week 4 Oak Hill (1-2) @ Minford (0-3)
Oak Hill travels to Minford this week.
The teams share losses to Wellston and Rock Hill. Oak Hill had closer margins in both, but we know how comparing scores can be.
Minford is 0-3 against teams a combined 9-0. Are those teams having good years or is it early season fools gold?
This is one of a few games left Minford has a realistic chance at winning. Would be really good for them to get a W here for reward of all the work they’ve put in.

I’m very harsh on the Oaks and they’ve surprised me against Wellston and Rock Hill. So I’m going to say the Oaks got it this week

I will go with the Oaks in a close one. Both teams are improving.

I wouldn’t be so quick to either approve or dismiss one team or the other in this matchup. There’s been 43 games in this series with Minford leading 25-18 all time and an average margin of victory being less than a touchdown. 4 games in this series has went into OT, and many of these games have come down to who has the ball last.
Should Oak Hill win? Yes but there’s not anything that surprises me when these teams matchup.

More than once Minford has went out 139 with a ‘better team’ and lost or found themselves in a dog fight. This is their turn to return the favor.Jason Vorhees wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2024 7:20 am I wouldn’t be so quick to either approve or dismiss one team or the other in this matchup. The running back #21 was thrown out for fighting against wellston. I would think this will hurt Minford quite a bit

I look for the focus moving forward to be on the passing game with a screen or draw mixed in here or there.Sideline Sammy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2024 12:39 pm The running back from Minford #21 was thrown out for fighting against wellston. I would think this will hurt Minford quite a bit

Oak Hill is pretty weak on defense, against both the run and the pass. What is the penalty for a player being tossed from a game?FalconFever02 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2024 12:59 pmI look for the focus moving forward to be on the passing game with a screen or draw mixed in here or there.Sideline Sammy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2024 12:39 pm The running back from Minford #21 was thrown out for fighting against wellston. Oak hill at least from looking at the box score standpoint is looking improved this year. I think oak hill takes this one by 14

Used to be 2 games. But after a ref got punched last year I think they changed it to 4 games if for fighting.

Red zone defense has surprised me this year. Lots of big boys so they’re slow but I agree the long passes and outside runs have hurt. Idk how the suspension process works because they tried to put the rb in after he got tossed last game and they had to remove him again.VetteMan wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2024 10:22 pmOak Hill is pretty weak on defense, against both the run and the pass.
