Beaver Eastern with a win over Southeastern tonight 33-8.

No one here ever gives the Eagles of Beaver any love. They’re on a 15 game regular season win streak. They stand a good chance to go 10-0 again this year. They lost almost all their skill kids last year, and just reloaded with more for this season. For a small school in just their 10th varsity season, I’d say that’s pretty impressive. It takes a lot to not only build a program from the ground up, but a community culture as well.

Judging by how many kids they lost I'm going to guess that's why the schedule is on the lower end, they can't help how the league is right now. Miller will be a 8/9 win team and a very senior heavy team at that. Also when you look over their roster Eastern only has 4 seniors on this years roster. Hats off to them regardless of schedule they're getting things done. At this point regular season schedule almost seems meaningless anyways, you want to win your league championship and make a deep playoff run that's where ppl start talking about you. Most on here have zero idea of Beaver Eastern and what they have so there simply won't be much talk. Let's not get the cart before the horse though when talking about them possibly going 10-0 again, young team and a ways to go.

Last year I believe only two teams they beat had a winning record. It’s not making you any better if you are playing weak teams on your non conference games to just gets wins.

Yeah, and typically coaches have to plan ahead for how their roster is going to fall. So, if you stack it one year with senior heavy guys could really hurt you the following year when you're breaking in a bunch of new starters and young guys.

They’re not the only Eastern that’s undefeated. JJ said he tried to get them on the schedule but they wouldn’t return the call.

No, but what they can do is evaluate how good (or bad) they anticipate the rest of the league being. Notre Dame is a fantastic example of a team that obviously was going to be significantly down compared to 2023. East graduated something like 97% of their carries of 2023.

Out of the 706 teams that are playing football this season, it’s likely that Eastern is going to play 5 of the bottom 30 by years end

Huntington and Southeastern are kinda tough for them to judge, because they have had tight games with them, but those programs are so bad right now that they aren’t really going to help prepare for the postseason. Obviously, Fayetteville isn’t going to either.

At least Miller was a tough game for them.
