Sensitive today are we? Must be hard for you to get on here and not be able to rag on high school kids. You’re having a rough couple days on here, being wrong about fort frye and now Warren winning on the road. Not much ammo for you this week.

Just for beg003 sake. Warren was real lucky to escape Logan with a win. Ask any Logan fan. Logan had multiple chances to steal the game but gave up two desperation passes to Warrens #2 receiver, one on 3rd and 10 from their own 11, and missed a game tying FG late. Logan also couldn’t convert on a 4th and 1 from Warrens 12 yard line in the 4th. At least Warren figured out their defense I guess. Or was it bad offense? Guess we’ll wait and see what Logan’s overall record is to determine how good of a win it really was. Just my opinion. But if Warren is what their supporters say they are they should’ve had the JV in with 12:00 to play. There’s your recap begg. And btw.. I’ll always have ammo until Warren actually wins a playoff game in a 10 game season. When they do, let me know.

Nobody said this game would be a blowout. Also, holding a team to 150 yards of total offense isn’t exactly qualifying as “real lucky to escape with a win.” If your only purpose is to get on this site and bash a team for winning a game(!), then I have nothing more to say to you.

And if they do win a playoff game, I’m sure you’ll move the goalposts again and again. It’ll never be good enough for your Saban-like standards, so no one should bother acknowledging you over it since you’ll have a reason it wasn’t a good enough win. If you were a player and read your posts, do you honestly think it’d be encouraging or uplifting?

And let’s remember: you complained someone on the other team got hit too hard in a football game.

You weren’t at the game, I was. The reason Logan only had 150 yards of offense was because they got the ball on Warren’s side of the field all day. Was it bad offense that they couldn’t score from 50 yards each drive or good defense? Logan did everything but win the game. If you were there you would agree. And yes, the hit from Williams on the Alexander kickoff team was totally unnecessary. It was head hunting and he’d be the first to tell you it was.

For someone who hates the team so much, going to Logan is an awfully long road trip on a Saturday. Why would you bother to make that trip if all you’re going to do is complain and openly pull for the other team?

Glad to see you double down on one of the worst football takes I’ve ever seen on this site. That pretty much confirms for me your football IQ - not high. If it happened to a Warren kid, you’d be the first to congratulate the other team. I honestly respect you for doubling down on your insane positions. It’s kind of remarkable.

Go ask him yourself Rudy. He’ll tell you. It was a retaliation from the play before on one of his teammates. Pure headhunting. Yeah I hate the team so much I’ll travel to watch them. I just tell like it I see it and don’t sugar coat things like you. I didn’t pull for Logan either. I just said Warren was lucky to escape with a win. With all the preseason hype you gave I expected more from them this year. From what I’ve seen so far, basketball season will start on schedule.

You said “ask any Logan fan.” The Logan guys on this thread weren’t exactly running to back up your position.

Nothing will ever be good enough. No matter what they do, you’ll find fault with it because you don’t like the head coach. And you don’t just do it to us. You say nothing positive about anyone, ever. That’s my issue. Cressey had a monster game yesterday with over 150 yds receiving, a TD, and a pick, and yet you give no credit to a good kid. That’s my problem with you. Every post is the same. It’s tired and it’s sad.

Btw. The only thing I’ve ever said about a Warren coach is that I thought Gandee should’ve got the job. I’ll always back a Gandee. They know their stuff. Good people! And yes Cressey is a stud. Best DB in school history. He has a great senior QB who can throw dots to him at WR too. Sealy is the best athlete in that school, and Pepper will be playing on Saturdays in two years. Oh.. Carr is the best wrestler in the school who didn’t even wrestle last year. And will be a 1000 yard rusher this year. What else do you want me to say to make you feel better today? You have your opinions and I have mine. Now keep scrolling and go beat Cambridge.

Well, now I know it’s possible for you to compliment a kid. You can have your criticisms but be honest and mix in something encouraging once in a while and we’ll have no issue. That’s all I’m asking.

I drove over Friday night and was sent the other way with the storms, didn’t want to make the drive Saturday but am curious what fans who were there thought? How did Warren look? I have them as a very strong program this year.

Take away two long pass plays (which were the same play btw) and Logan wins 7-3. But ...coulda woulda shoulda.....I think Warren had close to 300 yards of offense; but 150 of it came on 2 plays.

Here's a drive-by-drive breakdown for those interested:

1st half
Warren - 11 plays, 41 yards - turned over on downs at Logan 17
Logan - 3 plays, -1 yards - punted
Warren - 3 plays, 6 yards - bad punt snap gave Logan the ball at the Warren 22
Logan - 3 plays, 6 yards - Aden Strahler forced a fumble, recovered by Tanner Pepper at the Warren 14 on 3rd & 11
Warren - Sealey to Cressey 84 yard TD / Warren 7 Logan 0
Logan - Returned kickoff to Warren 35 and Strahler intercepted pass on 2nd play
Warren - 3 plays, -9 yards after punt blocked; Logan takes over at Warren 7
Logan - 3 plays, 7 yards - Scores on 4th & Goal from the 3 / Warren 7 Logan 7
Warren - 7 plays 61 yards - Pepper caught a 41-yard pass to set up 22-yard FG / Warren 10 Logan 7
Logan - 3 plays, 6 yards - punt
Warren - 3 plays, -5 yards - fumble gives Logan the ball at Warren 41
Logan - 6 plays, 13 yards - Cressey outjumps receiver for INT in endzone
Warren kneels to end the half

2nd half
Logan - 16 plays, 55 yards - Missed 32-yard FG
Warren - 5 plays, 25 yards - short punt gives Logan ball at own 41
Logan - 12 plays, 46 yards - Strahler & Owen Thompson stuff QB on 4th & 1 at Warren 12
Warren - 7 plays, 88 yards - Fairbanks 1 run after Cressey 80-yard catch moved into redzone / Warren 17 Logan 7
Logan - 4 plays, -7 yards - turnover on downs highlighted by Thompson forcing an intentional grounding on 2nd & 3 that cost Logan 14 yards
Warren - 5 plays, 20 yards - runs out last 3:20 of the game

Just as easily as you can remove 3 big pass plays, you could say that if not for the special teams snafu, Logan wouldn't have scored at all. Logan started 3 drives in Warren territory and had two other solid drives, but only came away with 7 points. You could say "lucky" OR you could say that the defense came up with some big plays. The Strahler INT was an errant throw (I don't know why phrasing has to be "bad offense", it was a simple mistake) and all the others were just good/great defensive plays.

Nobody "hyped" Warren as a potential regional champion or anything this season, but god forbid anyone be excited that a program that has had three winning seasons this entire century *may* have a chance to do so again. Last year, they dropped 2 games by less than a TD and were reasonably one play away from a potential win in 3 other games but finished 4-6. So this year, they've been able to win two early games where instead of the big mistake, they made the big play. I don't understand the need to minimize kids the way some people do (one constantly) on here. I'm not sure where this notion of its only fun if you beat a top 10 team or something came into play for any high school program, let alone one that was 56-144 over the previous two decades. I wish that sometimes a few people would stop to think that when they think they're criticizing an adult (coach, etc.) or knocking a fan down a peg, they're actually characterizing the performance of high school kids. Regardless of how right you think you are, what is the value added to anyone's life by being a total f***ing a****** about it?

Overall, the line play on both sides will continue to determine the ceiling and the floor. Nobody thinks Warren will just step on the field and win any single game, but it isn't unreasonable to believe they can compete with everyone on the schedule.

Numbers, logic, and facts. Amazing things. Waiting on the rebuttal, although I’m not sure how this gets argued.

Regardless of how right you think you are, what is the value added to anyone's life by being a total f***ing a****** about it?

... excellent post enigmaxx ... knowing the athletic abilities/hard-nose attitude of Sealy/Cressey from the hoops side it does not surprise me that ALL of that starts on the gridiron ... I've been out of state the last 2 weeks, didn't see the game or replay BUT I thought I read that Warren had 2 big pass plays that were "slants" - as soon as I read that, I thought hmmmm that seemed to be THE play that Jackson burned the Logan secondary on couple of big plays in the Ironment win over the Chiefs ... again - great post enigmaxx!!!
