2024 Cleveland Browns

Post by GalliaGrad78 »

Well, here we are. Big opener against Dallas at home. This is make or break for Watson. Hopefully they can stay afloat until Chubb returns, though I think Ford and Foreman can carry the load well. Defense should be good again, o-line hampered a little by injury but should be ok.
Interested to see how Jeudy plays.
Browns by 5.

I just don't see Watson making it through a whole season. He is not dependable. Hoping for a Browns win but if I was betting I'd take Dallas by 7 -10 points.

Still alive! Well the Browns laid an egg. I'm not burying Watson just yet but the returns aren't good. This is what you get when you don't play starters in preseason. Not great for Jimmy Golddigger when you're positioning for public money for a dome.

Let' not forget that the Browns were without both starting tackles. No excuses for Watson. Defense played pretty well. Interceptions and special teams hurt as well.

Ugly day today for both Ohio teams. Nice to hear from you again dazed. I tend to agree with you. The Bengals rested their starters the last few years in preseason and dug themselves holes to dig out of each time before they got going. I would rather they play more in preseason and risk injury rather these slow starts that ends the season early. Better yet I wish they would just skip preseason altogether and go right to the games after training camp, like college does.

I think that he may be distracted.

I actually like the structure of the team leadership. What I don't like is the meddling of the owner.like he is a poor man's Jerrah Jones. He forced this signing on his GM and coach. I'm not a fan of Baker Mayfield. I wish they would've pulled the trigger on Josh Allen and I had a fit when they passed on him. Someone has to make a level headed decision. If they had brought Flacco back it would've lit a fire under Watson's rear end.

They also could have had Lamar Jackson in that draft. I don't think Baker would have won them a Super Bowl but they were a lot better than when the massage girl guy showed up. I agree geronimo, he thinking about laying around naked on some massage table while reading defenses. It's only one game but whew that was ugly.

There are reports that if the NFL suspends Watson again for the latest allegation (and they are investigating) it could allow the Browns to get out of the last two years of the contract.

At any rate, going to be hard for the Browns to get public funds for a dome and other entities that will make a lot of money for the Haslams

If the Browns win 7 games this season they will be lucky. Looks like a rebuild on the horizon. Watson has to go, one way or another. The O-line has to be rebuilt. Chubb may or may not return this year but doubtful he is the answer going forward. Time to get what you can for Garrett and Ward and just start over.

One of the worst losses in years. With the schedule they got, this was a must win. Is Stefanski gone if they don't make the playoffs? Which is looking highly unlikely now. I don't see any way they beat Ravens or Steelers. Watson set them back 5 to 10 years.

Watson was a call of Jimmy Truckstop. Hard to hold that against the coach and GM. I'm not sure Stefanski is the answer but what has been? Freddie Cheeseburger?
I think they need to have a long-term strategy. I wish we were run like the Packers

After tonight it looks like the pecking order has been established. Another year of the Bengals and Browns battling it out for the basement in the AFC North.

Another horrible showing by the Browns. Look, they're not going to sniff the playoffs. It's time to rebuild the offense, starting with the line. They can't stay healthy. Time to see what we can get by trading away some assets. Need to get some draft picks to get younger on that line.
We're stuck with Watson and I'm tired of seeing him running for his life.

Watching this game in the 3rd qtr. What is the path forward for the Browns? Stefanski wants to be an OC. He sucks at that. We have no QB, a suddenly terrible O-line and strapped for the next two years.
I guess you could fire Stefanski. He's lost this team. You DO have Vrabel. Would he want this steaming pile of poop. Doubtful.
Worst run team in the NFL.

Giving up all them picks for Watson was a very dumb move, Browns are know for bone headed moves.
