All summer long ya fanbase on here told us burg is the land of "superior coaching & culture" , and now that very same base is calling out their so called "superiority" and also wanting to duck the two best teams in their region. Ya could not write better karmaic comedy if ya tried. Lol

Gotta give you that. I’ve been tough on Pendleton but owe a big apology based on what he has done.Jawnjkang98 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2024 2:14 pm All summer long ya fanbase on here told us burg is the land of "superior coaching & culture" , and now that very same base is calling out their so called "superiority" and also wanting to duck the two best teams in their region. First, he realized that he could never win with Ironton talent, so he has consistently recruited the players he needs to win.
Second, he realized he couldn’t coach said talent so he hired an ex coach from Burg who could.
Kudos to him for realizing that he’s a recruiter and not a coach.

Wow, So Pendleton really isnt a real Coach, and the real Coach is from Wheelersburg! LOL, I suggest you dictate to the Burg Coachs on why they arent getting the job done. I just bet they love your input , All I can say is WOW! Did I read your previous post, that you said 3 past players that are board members now are not happy with what you say or perceive of current record. Have you talked to the 3 board members face to face! If not its all heresay!
Re: (0-3) Wheelersburg vs. (2-1) Northwest
First about IHS… just look at how much better the O looks with Kasky. It’s night and day compared to any year before. Just the facts.Prime Time wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2024 5:12 pm Wow, So Pendleton really isnt a real Coach, and the real Coach is from Wheelersburg! As for the comment about the board members, that was not mine. However, that is probably accurate from what I have heard.
Talk to the board members face to face? You have no idea who I know and don’t know at Burg. You have no idea who I talk to and who I don’t. And I’m certainly not going to give you names regardless.
But my comments are very much inline with what many from Burg are thinking and saying. I grew up there, played ball there, I know the people and the culture at Burg. The current performance of the football team is not sitting well.

Re: (0-3) Wheelersburg vs. (2-1) Northwest
Have you ever considered the first 3 teams had more talent than Wheelersburg overall. Without recruits, I predict in the future this is the way it is and scheduling up or at least the top teams in your region , these will be the results no matter what your saying. Wheelersburg will at some point field a team that goes deep in playoffs but that will not be the normal anymore. Like I said recruit, but then again as far has that taken you besides winning a few more regular season games and maybe a win farther in playoffs. Its all about the talent pool. SOC will right the ship!
Re: (0-3) Wheelersburg vs. (2-1) Northwest
You just made my point! The spread offense does not work against teams with better skilled players!!! This has been the case at Burg for the past ten years.Prime Time wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2024 5:56 pm Have you ever considered the first 3 teams had more talent than Wheelersburg overall. It’s why Kirtland doesn’t run the spread, and it’s why Brian White did not run the spread at Hilliard Davidson. These are two teams that consistently played with and even beat teams with superior talent. And they did it with a simple, run oriented offense.
If Burg wants to compete against HP and IHS year after year, they have to change their offensive scheme, not just in high school but all the way down to pee wee football. The spread simply does not work against teams with superior skill position players.

Like I sad before why not put Evans at RB1! He is by far the best athlete on the field for Burg and he is touching the ball 5-7 times a game. He has the size and speed to be the main back.
Re: (0-3) Wheelersburg vs. (2-1) Northwest
Completely agree! But that makes too much sense for those calling plays at Burg!!!yabbadabbadoo wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2024 9:46 pm Like I sad before why not put Evans at RB1! Northwest hasn’t beaten Wheelersburg since 1970.
Northwest has scored more than 20 points twice against since 1970, that being in 1981 and 1997.
Since 2000 (haven’t played every year), Wheelersburg has outscored Northwest 659-92. Wheelersburg will be fine against Northwest this week.

In 1969 Burg started 0-3 and finished 5-5 , in 1964 they started 0-4 and finished 0-10. Their lass loss to Northwest was in 1970.
Re: (0-3) Wheelersburg vs. (2-1) Northwest
One of the problems at the Burg is ongoing for years is penalties . Not just this year but every year, how many holding penalties does the Burg per game ? Coaches have not done much to help this, penalties do not happen by accident, holding is made by players to lazy, slow to make plays. Cut out these penalties and you won't have what few successfull plays called back.

HC's are CEO's and a big part of being a CEO is being able to put the right personnel in the right places that benefit you.RBH23 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2024 5:00 pmGotta give you that. Burg could use a coach that can do as well because Woodard is OWNED by Trevon Pendleton. Owns him. He is woodards Daddy. Lmao
Re: (0-3) Wheelersburg vs. (2-1) Northwest
Pendelton is a great recruiter. That’s what he does extremely well. Again, kudos to him for realizing IHS isn’t winning anything without bringing in a massive amount of talent.Jawnjkang98 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2024 10:23 amHC's are CEO's and a big part of being a CEO is being able to put the right personnel in the right places that benefit you.RBH23 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2024 5:00 pmGotta give you that. Also, good for him for getting a coach developed by Burg and Woodward. Pendleton obviously can’t lead an offense so he went to Burg to find that person.

Maybe burg needs an Ironton coach that knows off season conditioning so Cramp High can get up off the turf next time and dont get mercy ruled again? Also maybe a recruit or two that can actually run. They are sooooo slow.RBH23 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2024 1:45 pmPendelton is a great recruiter. That’s what he does extremely well. Re: (0-3) Wheelersburg vs. (2-1) Northwest
No Burg didn't want that coach they ran him off and he went to Ironton and is a great addition to Ironton's Offense and detrimental to Burg's Offense and if Woodward developed that coach as you said then why such a drop off in offense ? Shouldn't Burg's offense still be thriving under Woodward ?RBH23 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 11, 2024 1:45 pmPendelton is a great recruiter. That’s what he does extremely well. Even without their previous offensive coach because you said Woodward developed him.

Once upon a time, ed miller applied to be head coach at NW. Obviously, he didnt get the job.
