Weather Delay at 7 minutes remaining in 2nd Q, Miller just took over on downs with the score 20-0. Refs and coaches were meeting frequently and once lightning was out of the area a time around 10 pm was agreed upon. Right before they were to return to action, East refused to go back out. Real classy making a team that traveled almost two hours sit around for 2 hours and then decide not to continue.
Not to mention, my son said that East never traded film with Miller this week.

It doesn’t sound like it really mattered that East didn’t trade film. It sounds like Miller was in control.

That's a very East thing to do, really things are so out of control down there it wouldn't shock me if they hung up the program entirely. They've let outsiders come in and run the pee wee by bringing in guys from all over and calling the P. East, now the junior high numbers are so low they're already canceling games, now this. If you want to have a program then play the freaking game otherwise just hang it up so ppl quit wasting their time with you. East has 8 points so far this season in a little over 9 quarters of play seen some film and it's bad.

So, East refused to come back out after the delay. Didn't they do something similar with wanting a running clock down only 21-0?

This is teaching the kids nothing at all. It seems like a ploy to get through the season, collect your paycheck, and move on to basketball season. After all, the football coach is also the basketball coach as well. I feel bad for Miller, waiting for a few hours and getting the rug ripped from underneath, and having to load up to drive a few hours back home. But, also, a win is a win, I guess. You worked on nothing and possibly had some underclassmen you wanted to get into the game, but that is now in the past. Move on and get your next two wins vs Millersports and Berne Union. Hopefully, they have the guts to play an entire game.

I wish Miller would have contacted me. I had some films of them as I have a lot of connections so I get film of pretty much every team in the area. I agree it looks bad. To coin a phrase, “they look slow on film.”

I don’t believe that one, Miller has a good set of coaches and they’ve been around and know how it works. East is East, just like Miller waiting out the storm then it comes time to play and East says forget it we’re done.
